Baby Art’s 1st Canter
Baby Art headed for home yesterday! So proud of all his progress and couldn’t be happier with how his 1st month under saddle went!
Absolutely love getting to train for friends and can’t wait to hear how he does at home with the Green family! ❤️

Baby Art’s 2nd Ride Out
Short clip but so proud of this guy!! 🤩
With only a couple weeks under saddle, Art tackled the insane wind yesterday on his 2nd ride out of the round pen/arena!
I almost chose not to take him out because it’s so crucial to keep things positive when they are so very green and asking him to handle going out to exciting new places while the wind howls is a tough ask…
But I remembered all the weather we have worked through during his ground work month and the previous two weeks of contained riding, all the blowing snow, wind and rain!! ☔️
So we went for it, and baby Art absolutely crushed it heading out for a full mile in 40-45km/h winds… so incredibly impressed with this guy and the mindset he is building… big round of applause for baby Art! 👏👏❤️
I definitely love the saying “no fair weather ponies allowed” which I have said, jokingly on many occasions when saddling up to ride in adverse weather conditions… but truly, if we treat all weather conditions as learning experiences and give our horses the opportunity to learn and grow in confidence…. they will! ❤️
Baby Art’s first ride! 🤩
Baby Art’s first ride! 🤩
This adorable 2yo just finished his first ride prep month and completed his first ride yesterday without a hitch! So proud of this sweet guy and all his progress… more to come so stay tuned! ❤️
Gonna have to give this guy the worlds slowest walker award tho 🤣🏆
lil herd ride ❤️
Another amazing and applicable trail skill; free ponying!
Not only is it a great credential for the loose horses, but it is a very useful skill for the under saddle horses as well! The riding horses have to learn to deal with a bit of controlled chaos and that does wonders to increase their threshold for handling things out on the trail. Plus it’s just so cute to see everyone goofing around! ❤️
Shout out to herd leader Tipsy & big, silly Floké for always keeping their heads on and handling all the challenges we throw at them so well! 🤩
Naomi Brunner ❤️❤️
Gotta love a cute lil pay it forward! 🩷🩷
Bobbi now has 3 months under saddle and has become such a solid mount that I’m now relying on him to show Flyer the ropes of outdoor winter riding! Ponying is an awesome addition to any trail horses resume and always enjoyable to see them become confident with it. Very impressed with Bobbi and all his accomplishments thus far! 🦄

Had the most amazing last day of 2023! 🥳💕
I have owned Nova for exactly one year today and I am blown away with how far she has come (especially with my limited time to work with her)! For those of you who don’t know much about her, she is a 12yo ex bronc who has been dumped from home to home ever since… making her way from AB, to BC, to the YUKON and then back again to AB… she was terrified of everyone when I got her, uncomfortable being touched and had fully given up on expecting any good to come from humans after her years of mishandling and neglect…
Today was the very first time I got on her, we started “working” on this last evening and it took her less than 24 hours to progress to her allowing me to get on without anything to stop her from leaving if she wanted to. I am so happy for Nova and so proud of her, she is a completely different animal these days… she tries so hard, doesn’t expect harm from humans anymore and is opening up so much to me and the few other people she gets to spend time with! She has been such a challenge to reabilitate and it is so worth it when we have moments like this! ❤️❤️
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 🥳🥳
Wishing you all the very best in 2024!
Ride #6 for Nim on this gorgeous December afternoon!
This sweet girl is green as grass but she is already confident and calm being ridden out on the “trail” SOLO!! Super impressed with this horse and her phenomenal attitude. She is going to be a point and shoot trail pony in no time!
I love taking my colts out alone right away, that way it’s always a normal part of our riding routine and Nim certainly didn’t disappoint! 😍😍
Stay tuned for more Nim updates!
The boys working on a very important trail skill this evening! It’s so crucial that our trail horses are able to keep us safe and use their heads even in varying conditions. These boys are both new to trail riding and did a phenomenal job at working in the low light / dusk! So proud of Bobbi & V!! ❤️ (and Charlotte & Sadie 😉)
*** this video is from the BEGINNING of our ride this eve!
A short clip from Nimbus’ very first ride today!
She certainly has lots to work on still and we will be supplementing with more flexion work and ground driving… but for a horse that knew nothing a few weeks ago I’m very happy with her! 🤩🤩
Nimbus really struggled (and in some ways continues to struggle) with initiating independent forward movement so I’m very pleased she is able to find the right answer under saddle, even if it takes her a second! 🤣 Definitely gonna be doing lots of stopping & starting! 🤪
Way to go Nim!!
Nimbus has been in for 3 weeks with me and in that time I have discovered she essentially knows nothing. (🤣) I am preparing to start her, she finally has the hang of ground driving, and is totally comfortable with me getting on and off so stay tuned for a first ride video in the next few days!!!
** low quality video, but very proud of where she’s currently at! ❤️
Since I don’t post about my personal horses enough!!
So proud of the horse Siege has become! At just 3 years old she is so insanely reliable and brave. She has really been on the back burner this year unfortunately as I had so many client horses and personal projects to work but I never have a worry in my mind about saddling up and hopping on, even if she’s had a few weeks off!
Naomi took her for a little spin today, her first time cantering bareback and as per usual she didn’t disappoint. 😉 (Don’t mind Aries messing up the filming mid video 🤣🤣)
Love my little wildie so much! ❤️
Bobbi has been in for a month now and has made incredible progress! 🌲🌲
Initially he was absolutely terrified to leave the yard in hand and after just a month he is confident and happy being ridden out alone. He has a LONG road ahead with so much to learn but I couldn’t be prouder of him right now! Really looking forward to the miles to come in month #2! ❤️
*** video from our ride today!
Another big day for Sadie! This sweet girl now has 2 months under saddle, is going w/t/c and has almost exclusively outdoor miles where she has dealt with varying terrain, vehicles, farm equipment and wildlife! 🌲🦆
So far she has only been ridden alone however yesterday we decided to bring her little buddy along! I’m so impressed with her that even as such an inexperienced horse she can go out on a blustery, snowy day with an uncontrolled variable (Timbits 🤣) and still be confident enough to do her job.
Great work lil Sadie! Gonna miss this one when she heads for home in the near future!
Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving long weekend and got to spend some time in the saddle / with family and friends! 🤍🦃🦄
Video from my ride this evening, so much to be thankful for! ❤️❤️
The world’s cutest update!!! ❤️
Sweet Jade returned home last week from her 6 week restart and is now being thoroughly enjoyed by all members of the Clelland Family! Couldn’t be happier with the progress she made and it’s so fantastic to see her thriving with her amazing owners! 🤩🤩
