Had so much fun this past weekend at the Portage La Prairie rabbit show put on by the Prairie Rabbit Club! Came back with a RIS in Open Show B under judge Mark Fronning with my home bred rew Brit buck, which was a huge accomplishment! Thank you to judges Mark Fronning and Stephen Hultholm for coming out and to all who made this show possible, was a wonderful day and it was so nice getting together with everyone, hope to see everyone again next year!

Lots has happened in the last few weeks, some good and some bad, for starters I am so thankful for the kind people I know, who’ve offered a lending hand, thank you so much Rae-Lyn Bax for lending me your Champagne buck to get some meat babies on the ground, I really appreciate it as my NZ buck wasn’t in the baby making mood, I’ve got two healthy litters off of him who are growing like weeds!
Now for the sad part, I’m sad to announce that my Jersey wooly doe, Dahlia, passed away in April soon after having her litter. She was such a doll and she is missed and I tried so hard to save her baby but It just didn’t work out in my favour, but finally after months upon months of trying to get a healthy JW litter on the ground, my girl Farrah kindled a beautiful, healthy litter just over a week ago, which has brought me so much joy. I think my luck has turned around and I have a good feeling about the months to come

Got all the Brit youngsters out the other day,
these are the three that I’ll be growing out some more
I’m really loving this rew off of my sable marten doe, he’s shaping up real nicely, his litter mate, the black one, is pretty cute herself just wish her ears were a little shorter, but overall I am so excited to get some youngsters to the show table this spring!

Really late to posting this but I want to thank the Prairie Rabbit Club and everyone else who helped make this year’s fall show possible
It was an awesome show with our little man “Daddy”, our Britannia petite buck, coming back with a RIS under Christina Schultz and BIS under Joe Colucci. It was really nice getting to see everyone and was nice to see the wide variety of breeds presented. Can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

Baby boom has just finished! Since my last post both of my Britannia petites kindled litters of 2 both sired by Stone Wall Daddy Issue
unfortunately one of the kits off my sable marten doe was failure to thrive, I ended up moving her remaining kit to my other BP doe as she didn’t make the best nest this time around
and LASTLY I just had a healthy litter of 8 born this afternoon from my NZ doe NorthernStar’s Victoria Sweetheart aka “vicious” x Kersten’s Critters Joseph

I’m super happy to announce that we’ve just had 2 litters born here this past week and we’ll have a couple more here very soon!
One NZ litter of 5 born on the 27th from our broken-blue doe x Kersten’s critters Joseph
One Jersey Wooly litter of 5 born last night from my beautiful doe Delattre’s Elsa x Delattre’s Montage
Was surprised to see a REW in this NZ litter, but thanks to the little guy I now know more about both parents underlying genetics

We’ve added a new breed to the rabbitry, the Britannia petite, and would like to introduce everyone to our newest additions from Clapier Des Merveilles - CDM' Rabbitry & Chinchillas !
I’m very excited to work with this wonderful breed, they are very energetic, and very different from any other breed I’ve worked with before, so I think this will be such a fun breed to work with
I would also like to mention that we are getting out of Holland lops for the time being, I may get back into them in the future as they still have a very special place in my heart, but as it stands now I’ve decided to back off

NZ baby update!
3 out of the 9 kits from our blue doe unfortunately passed away a couple days after she kindled but the rest of these guys are thriving and as healthy as can be at 26 days old and hope they continue to do so

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, hope everyone had a wonderful day!
I want to also give a big thanks to my mom for always supporting me and letting me pursue my rabbit adventures💕Nevada Svisdahl-Belisleand to add to that we here had our very first New Zealand litter which we are so ecstatic about, a wonderful litter of 9 out of one of our blue does that we are so excited to watch grow!

Well we had quite the tragedy here yesterday, unfortunately my Holland lop doe, Kida, passed away right after kindling, we’re doing our best to keep these little guys alive and thriving by taking our hand at syringe feeding them, thankfully they have taken really well to it and we hope that they will continue to thrive

Finally have a litter on the ground and they’re Jerseys! 8 days old today by EB’s Hippo and my homegrown doe Cactus Rose Mothra who’s doing such an amazing job as a first time mama, can’t wait to watch this litter grow

welcome EB’s Hippo our new Jersey Wooly buck, I am very excited to add this guy to the herd, and I’ve already got some ladies lined up for him, I’d like to give another big thanks to EB Rabbitry for him, he is a wonder

We had a great show last week, put on by the prairie rabbit club, we had a blast, met some new rabbit enthusiasts and came back with some wins to show for as well
There was some amazing rabbits there that we got a chance to see and some breeds that I hadn’t even heard of up until that point

Our Holland Lop Doe Kida won B.O.S.V in show A and won B.O.S.B in show B

Unfortunately there were no other exhibitors for Jersey woolies but we got some great comments on them from both judges so I’m very happy about that

Our lovely New Zealand doe from Northern Star Rabbits who I’d like to thank for again, she won B.O.V in both shows and won B.O.S.B in show A

Finally we have our English lops, it was a very small class but our buck Thumper bred by amarantine ranch took B.O.B in show B and B.O.S.B in show A

Our first litter of Flemish giants here at our rabbitry were born yesterday evening💕 she’s a first time mama so crossing my fingers everything goes well 🤞, she had 11 kits from what I counted, all are good size and healthy looking except for the one runt, hoping the little guy will pull through
