I got my pens put together, with room for an extra! It’s not pretty but it’s safe!
Can’t wait for client horses to be showing up in the next few days!
It’s crazy how fast life can change!
I now have time to be able to open up my weekdays!
I will be accepting horses and I do travel as well so
I can come to you depending on location.
I have an English and western background.
I love teaching, if your looking to build some new buttons with your young horse or older horse, or improve your riding experience shoot me a message!
The video below is from Sierra and Kayla’s 3rd ride. This was her fist time mounting without me standing there holding!
This mare has had a saddle on multiple times and had 2 rides in a saddle with zero issues. Kayla really enjoys riding bareback, so together we decided to use a saddle pad and sursingle for grip if needed. And while doing slow work at a walk we can build balance and core strength without have stirrups and a saddle.
(At this time I do not have lesson horses, so you would be required to have your own horse.)
Miss Sierra and her owner
A couple months ago I shared sierras story and why they came to me.
Her owner is a green rider, she did take lessons for over a year with another coach.
She came to me with her mare that had developed quite an attitude. Fast forward to ride number 5 and these two are making miles!
Kayla has be super determined to learn everything she can and has put the work in with her mare! I have done zero rides on this mare and I haven’t done any additional training. Her owner has done it all with me coaching her!
It’s such a huge accomplishment for someone who got into horses late in life and now has broke her first horse and has done it herself!
I absolutely love when owners come to me and want to work with their horses and build the bond together. I love teaching all the knowledge I have been able to learn over the years and continue to learn, the more I can share the better!
Because of them both being very green, we have been taking things slow at just a walk and working on the small things. we are working on her owners body positioning and how to properly engage herself while riding as well as Sierra is learning with her owner.
One of my coach’s would always say “ if you don’t have control at a walk, you won’t have control at a trot and if you don’t have control at a trot you won’t have control at the canter”
I would rather take things slow and then rush and put the owner and horses safety at risk.
We want to continue building the confidence in both of them.
I absolutely love being able to see the partnership these to have built and help both of them accomplish their full potential!
( Because of the poor footing outside that is a safety issue so that is why we are also keeping things at a walk and doing the slow work, once the footing isn’t icy/ slippery then we be able to safely add speed into the training)
I love looking back to see how far my riding has come!
While start my own three year old I had the opportunity start and ride some pretty cool horses!
Dash update:
The little man is in love with octane.
But his training is going very well. He stood very well for me to tame his crazy mane. He’s getting better with pets down his body.
But the big success was I was able to pick up and pick out his right front foot!
