In my professional opinion, all work should start in the house. Then in the yard , then in the driveway, then in front of the house. Skills are more important then the walk.
Once you have the skills then you can walk with ease!
You should enjoy the walk allow a sniff time , allow you to be in the moment!
It's so much easier on the dog.

Virtual dog training can be the best way for the dog too!
Now a days I am seeing more reactive dogs!
There are more dogs, having reactive to people too !!
I really shouldn't go in the house when the dog is not even muzzle trained.

Even Basic Puppy skills can also be done on line!

At least you could do a base line of training first then I could come over and work with you and your dog. (Edmonton and area).
Online can help you stay safe for your dog and you!
It's cost effective!
It's in your time!
It's simple, just a click away!

I only use a clicker, 6ft - 15ft leash ,reg collar and pouch full of food !
Much easier to train at the dogs will- then forcing the dog !
You don't have to use the clicker but I fine the clicker is quicker! Lol
