Just an update on my absence, I am still actively open and working.
In January I pre-booked my schedule to the end of April with the intent of adding in new clients along the way, and I did... This was not working as I had hoped and I really needed to take some time to figure out what I wanted the future of my business to be and how to achieve that. This time allowed me to transition back from maternity leave to part time and to find a work/life balance that worked for our family. I have honed my schedule to be as productive as possible to make room for additional clients. I have also spent many hours setting up online booking and payment. Communication is a difficult thing for me, and clearly that is never going to change (unapologetically me) I am hoping this will aleve any frustrations in the booking process.
Booking an appointment will be online exclusive and require a "Card on file" to be held. This card will not be charged unless an appointment is missed without 24 hour cancelation OR re-scheduled by you within 24 hours. This was nessecary to ensure my income, and to make sure when someone commits to booking they respect my time and my career.
Just like every other product and service , grooming costs have risen drastically - and are still considered low in our area. Since the beginning of the pandemic my product costs alone have gone up an average of 37%, and that is just a small portion of my rising business expenses. My pricing reflects business costs, expierence, quality of products and tools, and time spent. Prices online are an estimate only and may vary depending on services completed.
Please be patient as I work out any issues with the booking system - I am learning with you !
β οΈ π’ If you are a regular client with an upcoming *pre-booked* appointment this will not affect your booking - I will set up your client profile in the salon and integrate you into the system.
For those of you who do not know, I work exclusively one on one with every pet in my care to offer the best expierence possible in a small, intimate low volume salon. I love what I do and I love owners who share the same passion as me towards their animals. I don't have a magic wand and I am not the best fit for everyone.
A majority of clients I see every 2-6 weeks and I notice many changes in behaviour and health, I encourage owners to be aware and proactive about treating their pet. I want your pet to live a happy, healthy, fulfilling life and for me to be a small happy part of it. I want clients who want to work to achieve that for their pets. I don't want to be the reason for the shakey car ride, fear, and anxiety - I dont want you to think I am the problem when there is a solution. I cannot offer a wholesome expierence to your pet without a consistent grooming schedule, and dedicated efforts towards training and coat maintenance at HOME ! I am always willing to help you with tool suggestions to use for at home grooming and I have many connections in the pet industry - if I can't help you I know someone who can!
Please keep in mind when booking that your pet will be put on a pre-booked regular schedule and I am very strict about the clients I retain. As a professional in an industry with zero regulation or governing body I take my job very seriously and expect the same from my clients, consistency in grooming is key to preventing injuries for not just your pet, but myself. If commitment is hard for you, please explore other options and salons who may better fit your needs.
