EV's Pet Bandanas Etc

It all started as a simple hobby... They attach with plastic snap buttons.

All pet bandanas are fully reversible and made with new or previously loved materials, with a layer of interfacing in between, to ensure that they don't roll over time. Sizes and prices:
Small (fit neck between 9" and 12" / cats and small dogs): $12
Medium (fit neck between 13" and 16" / medium dogs): $15
Large (fit neck between 18" and 21" / large dogs): $18

With the leftover material, I make

skin care pads, in packs of 7 (one for each day of the week!). The skin care side of the skin care pads (terry cloth or fleece) is strictly new fabric, but the colorful side is either new or previously loved fabric. Sizes and prices:
Small (3"x3" / pack of 7): $13
Large (5"x5" / pack of 7): $16

Shipping anywhere in Canada is available, for an extra $3. Contact me for custom orders (larger sizes) - if I have fabric that you like on hand, I will do my best to make something for you!

Meet Bella, 5 yrs-old Golden Retriever very very very good girl. She is the CEO of her household, or Canine Entertainment Officer. The most enthusiastic Walmart greeter has absolutely nothing on her! She loves meeting new friends and is absolutely thrilled with visitors in her house. Someone coming for a sleepover? She guarantees a gentle morning wake-up with a wet slobbery kiss the moment their eyelid twitches. Someone coming for supper? She will ensure that their feet are warm at the table and that the floor is free of any morsel they may drop. A robber breaks into her house the middle of the night? She will show them where the treats are and roll over for belly scratches…. oh wait…. Forget I said that! She is currently super excited…. Halloween is coming! And you know what is best at Halloween? Yes, there will be all kinds of little visitors to her house…. But that is not even the best thing…. Not only these visitors will be disguised as all kinds of fun critters, but THEY WILL BE AT PERFECT LICKING HEIGHT!!! Joy oh joy! And Bella is taking a moment to show you both sides of her Halloween bandana and to remind you that there is still time to get your own (well, for your pet to be precise!) at Made with Love - Janet's Bake Shop and Crafts before Halloween. Be like Bella and enjoy meeting new people. Just no licking, OK?

Guess who I met in real life today? (And yes, I may have “fangirled” a bit…). Anna, our favorite German shepherd/rottweiler mix, and ultimate good girl! You see, she has a bandana subscription and with the postal strike, I was worried she would not get her Halloween bandana in time, so we both enjoyed a sunny afternoon drive to meet at a halfway point. Friends, Anna is even awesomer in person than her human had told me! She is calm, she is zen, her fur is so soft, her tail is always wagging and she smiles all the time! I may have accidentally packed my pockets with illicit dog treats (read: cat food kibbles) and she was so gentle when enjoying them. I was so enjoying seeing her enjoy them that I never once looked as our picture was taken. And guess what, Anna did not come empty handed…. She gave me a gift bag to open later…. Where I found my very own emotional support red ball! I am sitting with it tonight being inspired by Anna’s calm. I think she’d want me to carry the ball around for comfort and once in a while drop it to then chase it. And probably not intend it to be thrown at people who annoy me, right? I am pretty sure…. I think…

Meet Ollie, 14 years old Yorkie/Jack Russell gentleman. His pronouns are he/him/BOING! This spring-loaded senior very good boy is a semi-retired pro jumper. He no longer jumps competitively (he competed in 3 different doggy Olympics you know!), but he still practices the sport, for pure enjoyment. His favorite game is « the floor is lava » and he can cruise around a room without touching the floor once! Hmmm…. maybe leaving your half-eaten cookie on the counter is not such a great idea…. (unless you want to see his magic trick, where he’ll make it disappear in a single leap!). He is sporting his brand new Halloween bandana as he contemplates what costume he should wear for trick-or-treating…. Maybe a kangaroo? A gazelle? A jumping bean? Be like Ollie and jump away your heart’s worries (just please, make sure that your are in a safe cushioned spot to do so…. Most of us are not 14 anymore…!)

Meet Griffin, 5 yr-old feline extraordinaire. Griffin is a personal life chaos coordinator and top cat in his household. « What is a personal life chaos coordinator? » you may wonder. A personal life chaos coordinator is a little dictator, a fraction of the size of the human they adopted and whose sole responsibility is to ensure that the life of said human is not unbearably boring, which it would surely be if left to their own device. 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep? This is so last year! One needs the sudden awakening resulting from an adorable god-like creature using them as a launch pad during their nightly zoomies. Missing ear pod? Hours of pleasure retrieving it from under the washer where it was precisely batted under. The in-laws are coming for the first time? One sure needs the little boost of adrenalin from trying to secretly cleaning the fur ball freshly deposited in the visitors shoes. And all this dedication for free! Well, in exchange of food, your couch, your lap, your bed, your heart, and possibly your soul. And in Griffin’s case, a new bandana, so he can perform his job in style. Be like Griffin, and bring a little mischief in your loved ones life.

Her Royal Highness Louise the First (and only) requested a new Halloween bandana when I visited her last week-end. But in her great generosity, she allowed me to make additional ones for other discerning pets that may send their humans at the Greater Moncton Fall Market taking place this Saturday, October 4th, at the Riverview Lions Club. These two new designs will make an appearance on that day, in small, medium, large and extra large!

Meet Gus, 1 year-old feline apprentice overlord. This gorgeous gentleman may be only a year old and he already has had enough of the black and white jokes. Such is the plight of the tuxedo cat - all dressed up and nowhere to go… No, his mother was not a holstein, his favorite animals are not zebras, pandas and penguins (although it could be fun to stalk a slow walking giant bird…), he does not play the piano (he prefers playing drums for his garage swedish death metal band) and if he hears another person tell his human that she should have named him Oreo, he may just give their address to the neighborhood tomcats in search of a new marking spot! Gus was thrilled that his human got him a colorful dinosaur bandana - doesn’t it make his eyes pop? And it is the perfect accessories for the mile long whiskers! Be like Gus and embrace your colours!

Hey local friends…. Today’s the day for the Meet the Makers Event at Made with Love - Janet's Bake Shop and Crafts in Riverview. I am here, fully set-up and in good company with my fellow makers! Bandanas, tic-tac-toe games, face care pads and notebook pen caddies, I have some of everything! To see what else is there and what goodies Janet has ready inside (the display was full! Come before I go raid it for my snack !), you’ll simply have to drop by! Oh, and there will be hot dogs starting at 11! Come quick, we are only here in person until 1! (But products available inside whenever the shop is open!)

Anna is back! Our now internet famous favorite 7 yr-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, whose heart is as big as her ball is red, is back to show us her latest subcription Fall-themed bandana! (And no, it was not pumpkin-spice scented!) She was secretly proud to make other dogs jealous at the dog park when she showed up with her latest accessory. She is becoming a bit of a fashionista! And as always, she was accompanied by her trusty emotional support red ball. Be like Anna and enjoy the slow progress toward sweater-weather, exploring all that your neighbourhood has to offer on your daily strolls. As a non-dog however, you should abstain from greeting people by sniffing... This is Anna's helpful advice. See? She is so nice!
Oh! And she wants to let you know that I will be at the Meet the Maker Event at Made with Love - Janet's Bake Shop and Crafts this Saturday from 10 until 1. Come see me, but remember, no sniffing!

If you find yourself at the Sussex Balloon Fiesta this week-end, and your pet has been begging for a new bandana, you are in luck! My bandanas (and face care pads, and tic-tac-toe games, and notebook pen caddies!) are available at the craft fair! I will be there during day time hours Saturday and Friday, but products are available all hours the market is open this week-end. I did not want to will the Summer away so I don’t have Christmas stuff on display, but it is well hidden under the table, so feel free to ask (whispering, so Mother Nature doesn’t accelerate the progress toward the season that shall not be named!)

Meet Finley (4 year-old) and Dougall (7 year-old) Boston terriers, brothers from different mothers. These two get along great despite their vastly different interests. Where Finley is a fan of classic operas (The Barker of Seville being his favorite), Dougall prefers the early millennium rappers (Lil’ Bow Wow being his go-to album). Dougall enjoys a career as a magician - he specializes in tricks where he makes food disappear! Give him a steak, and you don’t even have the time to say abracadabra that it is gone! As for Finley, he enjoys a career away from the spotlight as a jack-of-all-trade: part-time life coach, poetry writer and household coordinator, he also chairs the local chapter of the Wildlife Obsessive Observation Federation (you know, the WOOF), and guarantees that not a chipmunk will go unnoticed in the neighborhood. They can be seen enjoying their new bandanas: frogs and shore birds in size medium for Finley and dinosaurs and dinosaur foot prints in size large for Dougall.
