To all our wonderful clients,

As many of you already know, we unfortunately lost both Jenna and Chloe as employees here with us at the Springbank Pet Hospital.

New Clients: we encourage you to continue submitting our online enquirer forms, however there may be about a two week delay in our response as we navigate through these staffing difficulties!!

Current Clients: Thank you for all of your support and understanding thus far! We want to continue to offer these programs to you in the most efficient way possible. As such, we ask that you continue emailing us to schedule all of your puppy social and play school classes, PRIOR to coming in. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, however we are limiting class capacity to 10 dogs.

MORE TRAINING CLASSES!! 🗓

Both Beginner & Novice courses run over a period of 6 weeks, meeting 1 hour each week.

BEGINNER - 🟠
For those over the age of 6 months. This course includes all general commands and basic obedience. Like out Kindergarten course but for those a bit older.

NOVICE - 🟧
This course is for all ages.
If you have completed a Kindergarten and/or Beginner class, this is the perfect course for you!

GRADUATION! 🎓🎉
This is Nakoda & Harry. They both started in Puppy Social, a carried through to Playschool and have now graduated to the !!
The progress we have seen while watching them grow has been amazing! From their basic obedience & manners, to their confidence and characteristic! We as trainers love to be a part of their development from the start. We sure will miss them! Congrats pups 🐾🏆

These two cuties, Duke and Bear have just started attending Puppy Social as well as private training. Duke and Bears older brother, Marley, is slightly dog reactive so we have been working with him for the last couple of months by exposing him to other dogs to help him conquer his reactivity, we have taught Marley that it’s normal and less unusual and frightening to meet other dogs. It has taken a lot of time, patience and management but Marley is doing fantastic and absolutely loves his new little brothers.

Since she is not a fan of the groomers, we are helping her work through her fears by practicing a mock groom broken down into short sessions. We ensure to use positive reinforcement and always end her training on a positive note.
She’s made incredible progress!🥇

Paw Print Paintings from the Playschool kids! 🌷🌸
Something to take home to their families - which shows how well they do during our cooperative care and handling exercises!
We include general sit/stays and handling them throughout Playschool.
That allowed us to get more creative with the pups! 🎨👩🏼‍🎨🧑🏽‍🎨
Those simple exercises can help you enjoy doing fun things like this with your dog! 🐾

Chloe, Jenna’s Training Assistant.
Chloe discovered at a very young age her passion for caring for animals, but never quite new what her passion in life would be. Shortly after she started working for us at Springbank Pet Hospital, she discovered her passion for dog training. Chloe is currently taking online courses with the Karen Pryor Academy to expand her training knowledge.

I guess it’s time to officially introduce ourselves.
Meet Jenna, the girl who runs the show.
Jenna has been working with dogs in a variety of capacities over the past 8 years. She started out volunteering with different animal rescue organizations where she was able to foster, and assist families in the training of their newly adopted pets. Jenna’s extensive, hands on involvement in these programs allowed her to familiarize herself with many dog breeds, temperaments, and behavioural challenges. Ultimately this passion for animals drove her to work towards attaining certification as a Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). Jenna successfully completed and graduated with a diploma from the Animal Behavioural College in 2018. She utilizes positive reinforcement training methods and encourages consistency amongst owners by providing them with the tools they need to give their furry companions a healthy and rewarding life.

Beginner Training:

Loose Leash & Recall:
Wednesdays at 6:30pm-7:30pm

Tricks
Fridays at 6:30pm-7:30pm

These training classes are a 6-week consecutive program.
