Rob's actions may seem excessive or even reckless, but he prioritized the safety of the geese and made sure they were able to cross the busy street without harm. While some may have been inconvenienced, Rob's compassion and respect for nature is commendable. His actions serve as a reminder to always be aware of our surroundings and the potential impact we have on the environment and its inhabitants.
Please always check your garbage and recycling binâs daily. This little guy was trapped in a bin for a period of time. He was so freaked that he was clawing the inside to the point he injured his paws. The injury is serious friction burns from clawing continuously. He is now getting treatment at a place where he can rest and get some heathy food. Sadly because of his injuries he was unable to forage for food. Luckily for him after getting free of the bin he showed up at a house to rest. Seeing him outside their patio doors very kind animal loving family reached out for help. 269 immediately answered and came to his aid.

Hey there, welcome to my 7am. This poor little guy was found have drowned in a pool. Luckily enough the home owner was an animal lover. He gave him some raw eggs, and yes, he loved it. At 6:30AM, he reached out to us for help, as the little skunk was wobbly. Rob showed up and started helping the little one with the house owner. After feeding him some raw kibble, the little guy started to walk. He then became active and started chasing our feet. Rob got him to chase him. Rob had the little guy running until he was sure he could walk and run properly. Once the little skunk was ready, he ran off into the brush and across a yard. Huge thanks to the home owner for helping this little one live.

Did you ever wonder where many pet stores get their puppies?
On Thursday August 1/24 269 animal rescue helped a group of amazing ladies. The women (we yet have no permission to post names) found out about a beagle breeding facility where horrific conditions existed.
Here is some information on what was going at this place for many years. The man (name withheld for legal reasons) had many breeding male and female beagles and was pumping out puppies upon puppies. Living in horrific conditions the puppies stayed on one side of of hallway the parents on the other. Parents and their babies would look and try to reach other all day and night. The noise must have so sickning as everyone was crying out night and day. Imagine looking at your babies through dirty feces and urine covered bars and not able to touch. This operation was ongoing year after pumping out hundreds of pups. In another part of the facility the man also bred huge rabbits to also sell. Nether dogs nor rabbits while there ever felt a nice sunny day or grass under their feet. There was no love nor compassion just money. All of the animal waste was thrown in a pile behind the building where it just grew and grew. He kept the the feed in a empty stall where it was close to throwing to the animals in his care. Time after time the local population of raccoons would smell the food and tried to get a meal. The man had a gun and everytine a raccoon was found on his property he shot. He would take the dead raccoon and toss it into the animal waste mountain. Makes you wonder where the sick and dead beagl
We love dealing with people who care about animals.
Sunday night we received a message from a concerned citizen. They asked for help for a injured canada goose. They thought that the goose may have been hit by a boat. After we rescued the goose we brought him back and placed him in a quiet place. The following day we brought him to Le Nichoir in Hudson Quebec. He is now being well cared for by the amazing team there. So far we were told he is really under weight and maybe some rear brusing. We will know more tomorrow about his condition. If anyone would like to help us continue saving animals please donate. We get no help from the government to help animals so everything we must pay ourselves. The cost of supplies like specially replacement milk and many other supplies and the thousands of kms we drive is outrageous. Ourselves we donât take a profit and 100% of any donations is spent on helping animals. For e-transfer you can use either my phone number or my email [email protected], if there is a password use the word rescue. We also take PayPal. Use the email [email protected]. Thanks so very much đ
Also please support Le Nichoir for all the amazing work they do by making a donation to their amazing place.
A sad beginning with a happy ending. The message we are sending is the sad reality for most older pets. 9 out of 10 times people will adopt young animals.
The older ones watch day after day all those leaving to homes. Please donât just pass them by as they deserve a happy ever after too.
Thank you 269
Please donât get a dog if youâre not gonna give him a forever home. They are not a pet as they are family.
This brought a tear to our eyes seeing how this beautiful place helps seniors. We need more people like this.
These videos are fake their extinction is real. If we donât change their lives will.
Next time you wish to adopt a new family member please donât forget about them. They all deserve love too.
This is a true story. Please raise your children right.
Right after we dropped off the injured snow goose off at le Nichoir we did another call. This little girl was found by the owner of the local ice cream shop Cafe Cornet in Saint Lazare. He brought it to Rob at 269âs attention about this little duck who was staying beside the garbage pails. The little mallard duck had not moved for a couple days. We captured safely the little girl and immediately brought her to le Nichoir in Hudson qc. Since rob had no carrier in his vehicle he ended up driving all the way to Hudson holding her-in his arms. Please take a moment to click like on our page and if youâre able a donation would be greatly appreciated. 100% of donations we received goes to helping animals in need. Thanks 𫶠269
The baby groundhog
This little ground hog had a sad start in life. There are 2 versions of the story involving him. First was his mom was trapped and then killed with a brick to the head. Second was the mom was trapped and released a couple fields away. This was 4 days ago and this baby was left outside the hole to fend for himself. Luckily enough a kind soul saw what was going on and took matters into her own and brought him home.
This poor little baby has gone without food since Monday. The woman and her girlfriend tried doing a post trying to get help but nothing came of it. When we arrived today you could see immediately how in poor shape he was. He was very dehydrated. Rob went to the government run old folks home where this happened and questioned the man who did this.
We brought him to our rehabber who immediately fed him pedialyte to get fluids in him. Next will be formula and everything needed to save him.
Please at any time you say you will come help then do what it takes to get there. Rob had to very painfully drive to get the little one and also go to the place where this happened to question the person behind the situation. Rob can barely walk and having to go help only caused Rob more pain. In this case Rob while in extreme pain had no choice but to go help as if not the little one would have most likely died by the end of the day from hunger and dehydration.
Thanks 269
Please make sure you show some love and support for us once again for stepping up no matter what we were dealing with đ

Three rescues and a social worker come together to make a dying man's wish to save his dog come true â€
This is Bandit's story:
A few weeks ago, 269 Animal Rescue was contacted by For the Love of Ferals in Kingston, who was trying to help a social worker find a home or rescue for a 13 year old Jack Russel mix. Bandit's human was put into palliative care, which left nowhere for this poor senior boy to go. With rescues completely full, the outcome was looking pretty grim, with no choice but to euthanize him.
Out of a last desperate attempt to save him, we were contacted for help. Immediately, we knew exactly the perfect rescue for him. We contacted For the Love of Dogs -Ottawa. Within hours, they found a foster for Bandit. What joy and relief we all felt!
Due to some unforeseen delays, we lost our volunteer driver to get Bandit from Kingston to Ottawa. Luckily, Rob from 269 was heading home to Kingston later that week and decided to do the drive himself for Bandit to get to his foster.
Thanks to some quick rescue action and caring people, this little munckin is now with a caring foster and looking for a new home. His human can now leave this world and transition to the next knowing that his little dog that he loved so much will live out the rest of his life. This is true rescue, and we are so honored to have had a part in Bandit's story. Huge thank you to Kellie, Sarah, Rob, Sarah, Roz, Nadine and Angel. (forgive us if we forgot someone). Good luck Bandit †We wish you a happy life.

The rescue of the injured raccoon.
Took four days but we finally caught him.
DAY 1 Raccoon seen on side of the road limping. 269 was tagged in a facebook post and messaged asking to help. Rob went to the last know place where the little guy was seen. After a time period of searching, the little one was no where to be found. Later that day a message was received that he found. When Rob returned, the raccoon was in a tall pine tree. So Rob being Rob climbed after the little guy all the way to the top. Rob tried and tried to get the raccoon down but had no luck. So seeing the little one was getting really stressed, Rob Climbed down and left. Rob returned with a live trap and set it up with smelly cat food hoping he would have success. A few hours later Rob returned to only see that the little fellow had vanished. The trap was not touched so Rob called it a day.
DAY 2 Rob returned in the morning and searched all over including driving around the streets in a 1 mile radius. Once again no raccoon anywhere.
Day 3 Nothing found and there was no sightings by the locals that lived close by.
Day 4 Nothing found and there was no sightings by the locals that lived close by.
Day 5 While Rob was back home in Kingston, the local facebook group that 269 was in started lighting up about a raccoon. There was a raccoon that looked like ours in a different area about 1 km away from the first day. Rob was driving back as fast as he could âlegalishâ the speed limit. At about a hundred kmâs away we were tagged and messaged that the raccoon was under a car. He was trying to eat some food tossed to him but was having bad trouble opening his mouth. At this point we will stop bringing up how fast Rob was moving to get there. Once there with some assistance from Mireille Reigneau who was the one who reached out. We had Mireille watching the little guy til Rob arrived. Once there Rob (long story short) safely rescued the Raccoon. Once inside the carrier you could see
UPDATE I was back there again this morning driving around slowly trying to find him but had no luck. Iâm not gonna be able to help him till Sunday now because Iâm back in Kingstonđ€€
How far we at 269 will go to help an injured animal. I climbed all the way up to see if I could see how bad the injuries were. I also was hoping to get him down. I was 2 feet away from his face and could see firstly he was almost blind. The other injuries wee his nose half gone and part of the face was also gone. You could actually see his teeth and gums exposed. He also was dragging his rear leg. This poor guy looked really old and would travel all over the neighborhood. I had to give up trying to remove him from the tree for safety reasons. I had put catch and release trap with smelly food at the bottom but after we were gone he went right past it. Sadly he will have to be euthanized for humane reasons so he won't suffer anymore. We have to go back in a few days to try again as im gone away til then. Hope we have better luck next time.
