Hi everyone!

Happy Spring!

The 2024 membership forms are now available on the SCCA website:

It will be status quo this year as it looks like the park transfer is not going to happen in 2024. But it’s looking very promising for 2025 so please keep the SCCA in mind if you can volunteer on the board at all, we will desperately need more help in order to be able to successfully manage the entire park again.

The SCCA exists to bring the community together through the use of our facilities, hosting events, and supporting members of our community by serving as a liaison to external resources.

Hey everyone;

The arena desperately needs someone to step up to be a liaison with the SCCA. You do not need to be a member of the board to hold this position, but if you want to be that’s great too.

As the liaison you will:
- Ensure insurance and HCBC club membership is purchased each year
-Be proficient with Messenger and email in order to assist with membership and questions
-Change the arena code each spring
-Assist with any private booking requests
-Promote membership so that sufficient fees are gathered each year to cover the expense of the insurance/maintenance.
-ideally arrange at least one meeting per year with all active horse members to discuss care and maintenance etc.

You do not need be in charge of hosting any events or anything like that. You are welcome too, but it’s not required.

If we do not have someone come forward we may not even be able to open the arena next year. So if you use the arena, please consider volunteering for this.

2023 Memberships are now open!

New code will be emailed out once all the paperwork and payment has been verified.

Lastly, as per my previous post, we are still looking for a volunteer to oversee the arena! Please email [email protected] if you are interested in helping out.

Hi everyone!

A couple of quick updates:

1) We are just finishing up the contract renewal for the arena with the CSRD for another 5 years. Once this is completed the new membership forms & waivers will be uploaded to the website.

2) The SCCA is looking for a volunteer to work with them in managing the horse arena. It would involve managing this page, posting updates, answering questions via messenger and/or email, assisting with insurance and HCBC renewals annually, and overseeing general use and maintenance of the arena. Proficiency with Facebook, messenger, email, and HCBC is needed. If this is something you might me interested in, please send me (Trina) an email at [email protected]

The arena code is now changed, so ensure to pick up your new memberships as soon as possible! If you wish to purchase your membership at the AGM please ensure you bring a copy of your current HCBC membership with you.

AGM is coming up, if you can attend this will be a great time to renew your memberships. I am not able to attend this year, but as long as you bring a copy of your current HCBC membership you’ll be able to leave the meeting with the new code and be set for the year :)

Volunteers are always needed for both the SCCA in general and for the arena, so if you are able to help out let us know! I do not have the availability this year to run any meetings/clinics/fundays etc, but others are more than welcome to organize :)

Also, as part of our HCBC club membership, there are grants that can be applied for if anyone wants to take on trying to get improvements and/or funding for events.

The Silver Creek Community Association has our Annual General Meeting Thursday April 14 at 6 p.m. . We will be hosting our elections, coffee, tea and light snacks and a meet and greet following the elections. Memberships will be available from 5:15 until the meeting starts at 6. Membership is required in order to vote and run for any open positions. Membership fees are $10 individual, $20 family, $30 individual horse, $50 family horse membership.

What is the Community Association and what do we do?

Silver Creek Community Association, The SCCA exists to bring the community together though the use of our facilities , hosting events and supporting members of our community by serving as a liaison to external resources.

We are looking for community members who are wanting to create and assist with events in our community and support the running of association and hall.

Hello riders!

I just want to confirm that everyone who has emailed or dropped off their membership application, waivers, proof of HCBC and fees has received an email from the SCCA with the protocol and code for this year. If you have supplied everything and have NOT received this email, please comment below 🙂

Also - if there is anyone else who wants a membership and still needs the forms, please email me at [email protected] and I will get them out to you right away.
