We are currently looking for an experienced manager for our Food Bank Program. This position will report to the Director of Operations and Engagement. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: Pay Band 6 (Management & Senior Professional): $24.51 to $30.28 /hr.
Deadline to Apply: Until position is filled

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Food Bank Program Manager oversees department and staff to make sure there is a friendly, non-judgmental, safe place for those in need can receive an emergency hamper in a timely manner.

Wow!! It was a great night in the Garden Patch for our 2024 Harvest BBQ! We served over 500 hot dogs! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the garden, it was so wonderful to see it full of people, fun, games, and food! A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and staff for creating such a wonderful event. ☀️🌭🪴🍅🌸

It’s time! Our 2024 Harvest BBQ is here! Thursday September 5th, from 5-7pm please join the SFBLC Garden Patch for hot dogs, games, art, and a self guided garden tour.

Come check out the garden in full bloom and down time with community. Learn about our Urban Agriculture program and the different demonstration gardens we have on site.

This event is free and open to the public!

Located at 900 block of 3rd Ave N-entrance on Duchess St.

Gluten free and vegetarian options available. 😄

A BIG thank you to our amazing Summer Horticulture Assistants, Caleb, Tiwo, Hope, Katherine, and Brynn, for all their awesome work, incredible attitudes, and creating a beautiful, productive garden. Their work of planting the seeds, preparing the soil, maintaining the garden and welcoming visitors has made this season so full! We will miss you and wish you all the best of luck in your next endeavours.

And a great welcome to new Fall Staff! Mariyam, Aruna, Kellie, and Abdul. We are excited to work with you and harvest our plots! It’s been a great start already!

Many thanks to the University of Saskatchewan’s Greenhouses for providing a guided tour as part of our Healthy Yards Workshop Series. It was amazing to see all the technology and plants at work for research and education! 🌱🌻🌴
