How many more animal seizures have to happen in Manitoba, before leaders start making this a priority??

Stronger regulations for abuse and neglect and funding spay and neuter clinics are needed urgently!

If you have a rescue or shelter who helps your area, you really should start assisting them by funding or providing support becuase I am warning you all, rescues might start closing and then all of you will be in serious trouble.

If you’ve asked a rescuer for help in the last 5 years for any reason, THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SUPPORT THEM!!!

I just received this photo from the 2023 WCVM awards and scholarship dinner held in Saskatoon this year. My family has presented this award since the year after my mother died of breast cancer -so almost 30 years and this is the first time in many years that I was able to attend in person, and present the award on behalf of my mother Lorna Collins. It is presented to a first year veterinary student who is from Manitoba or Saskatchewan, and shows exemplary care in the way of volunteering with animal welfare and animal rescues -so pleased for Jessica this year’s award winner.
