IT SHOULD SERIOUSLY BE THIS EASY!! But I think we all know that interacting with other dog owners can be... stressful
If someone tells you what they and their dog need - listen. Then act in accordance. Don't question, don't refute, don't give a rebuttal.
DON'T MAKE IT ABOUT YOU!! Because it's not about you. Simple as that.
When the #zoomies hit extra hard & the adrenaline has no where to go
Since filming this yesterday, I have run into SEVEN dogs illegally off leash. π‘ One even ran from its person across a busy street to get at the dogs I was walking.
Leash laws are for EVERYONE'S safety. It's not just about you and your dog. And it's definitely not about your dog being friendly. The dog that ran across the street was plenty nice but almost got hit by a car...
The real issue is entitlement. More and more people think that laws don't apply to them. And that comes down to a lack of accountability & repercussions. Sadly, people don't learn until something bad happens. And sometimes not even then.
Let's all be good, safe pet parents and keep our animals on leash. And no, a leash dragging after your pet DOES NOT count.
Yes, we offer in-your-home pet sitting.
No, we don't offer 24/7 care.
Why?
Similar to the day sits, the costs associated with canceling all of our walks & check-ins would make that unrealistic.
Our sitting rate is not enough for someone to live on, so it's expected that they will have jobs or be doing calls for me. Or going to university.
Legally, I can't require that someone work 24/7. Which is what we are doing when we are at your home caring for your pets.
So we ask questions around your pets routines prior to agreeing to a stay to ensure we can meet their needs. We are at the home more often than not, and we ensure we meet their timing needs for attention, bathroom breaks, feeding, medications, etc. But unfortunately, sometimes those needs fall outside of what we can offer. And we are very honest and transparent about that
Crooked nose and some big ol' teef. Nothing beats a smiling pupper.

To all of the former clients of Paws Republic who find themselves without pet care services: we're so sorry that you are suddenly having to scramble for pet care.
We don't have a daycare or boarding facility, but we have in-home sitters, we can do walks, check ins, and training. Please reach out to us if you find yourself in need of help. We'll do our best to take on as many people as we can πΎ β€οΈ
*We are not involved with Paws Republic or this situation. We do not have any information beyond what they have made available on their website, so please do not ask*
π¨Likely final update on the status of our FB account
We are down to our last 70 days to appeal our ban and I have given up trying. Nothing seems to be working, it hasn't for the last 4 months, and I don't see it changing.
We'll continue to post from IG for as long as possible. Not sure what happens after the time window ends, but I'm guessing bye bye account.
Come follow us on IG at a.t.yxe as that continues to work for now
I hope everyone finds a dog that loves them the way Moccs loves @8thchakrayxe
Happy 3yr anniversary of helping people through sound

We get asked about daycare and day sits quite often. Daycare is always a hard no, because - bylaws.
And days sits are also usually a no, because it's not a realistic service for the way our business operates. Most of our work happens during the day, during the week. So we're usually just not even available for that. We wouldn't cancel our regulars or a whole day of walks for a day sit.
It's also not financially realistic, even if we would cancel all our walks (we wouldn't). Calls can vary, but a day of walks could be between $200-300. And I haven't met anyone yet who's willing to pay that. But if you're out there - call me π
I'm 100% ok saying - that's not for us, maybe try an actual doggy daycare
We are absolutely, positively, 100% NOT getting a puppy. I don't have time for that! But hypothetically speaking...
I've been obsessed with these pups since Darren @8thchakrayxe sent them to me. These are my current favorite dream breed and will make some loyal and loving pets.
I would be so happy to take one (or all) of them on as clients *wink wink, nudge nudge* π They are with @prairie_pooches_rescue if you're interested

I know dogs, but I don't understand cats. Is this a dominance thing? Any cat experts know why cats always bathroom in front of me AS I'm cleaning the litter?
