Darren and I are officially part of the New Hope Dog Rescue foster system ❤️

Charlie came to us from New Hope and has been the most amazing addition to our family. Now that he's well settled (and living his best life) we've decided to open up our doors.

I've been telling the pups what's coming, so let's hope they put their best 🐾 forward

Thankful for a more relaxed day today. I'm definitely in need of a break! Good thing I have a vacation coming up.. in some 120 odd days 😅

But even today was a bit of a holiday. Slept in until 6:45, saw some cats, and did just 2 walks. Made some gear for , did some laundry, cleaning, cooking, and feeding of 🧀 to the 🐶 s

More work to do, but we're taking it easy today

It's the Saturday of a long weekend & I only had 3 calls 🤯 And the hamsters didn't even bother to come so hi.

So I guess we chill! Or get caught up on chores. I do have new puzzles... and I'm going for dinner tonight! It's going to be a GRRRRRreat! day 🐯

The long weekend is here!! And I actually have half a day off tomorrow 😲 So I'll be outside, hitting a patio, checking out Fringe, maybe trying a new restaurant. I DON'T KNOW!! They sky's the limit! Actually, my wallet is the limit, so I guess we'll see 🤣

Welp - reasonable temp break over 😅 At least for a couple days. Friday is looking 🤌 We might get some rain tonight! That's also a bonus.

I'm excited that I actually have plans this weekend! Finally getting the dogs back to the park, plus taking them for a cool down ice cream. And then opening weekend of Deadpool & Wolverine!!!!

We've been thinking about forstering / adopting another dog. But I don't know. It's a tough decision! A lot of things to consider regarding their comfort & happiness. But now that Charlie is well settled, ot seems like a good time.

After my run-in with that crusty old man (see last reel), I was all frazzled and anxious and forgot to take photos of Ziggy & Ryder 😭. But we finally had a full walk day!!!

The heat was down, the wind was up, the smoke lifted enough to make the day bearable. I haven't walked 27km in a minute, and I'm tired!! Thankful that my body handles smoke & heat well - definitely do not recommend for my breath-challenged friends.

Moccs is learning some new skills today!!
-targeted balance (all 4 🐾 on element)
-spread balance (transition without stepping down)
-targeted balance sit
-spread with larger transition space

It took a couple tries, but he will do almost anything for food. Except go in the kennel 🤣

And so we start back to those crazy temps🌡️ It was a slow moving day all around. Which I'll happily take!! Though I am the go go go type

We'll be watching the weather closely and adjusting as needed through the week & weekend. I'm currently hiding in my cold basement doing my days work 😅 but I still have one more training consult today, so I'll be back out there soon enough!
