I do love metal reticulation! A few metalscapes on the bench today getting ready to become an over the top mixed metal necklace. Go big or go home! 🔥❤️‍🔥🔥I love how reticulating silver on copper creates these tiny molten worlds. 🔨

Sometimes you just gotta play! Not sold on this particular clay but enjoyed making this goaty goodness. I will try another brand of the same type of porcelain clay and see if I am happier with the strength of the piece.

Miss Nikki the Angora long ago learned she could use her floofs as a storage solution for pine cones, leaves, sticks and various items she wants to circle back on. Today it was the feed pitcher though her floofs failed to secure it.

I know it has been awhile since I posted but I’m not gone! Just enjoying the summer and exploring some new sculpting options. ✌️ Summer is short in Canada and with a small hobby farm there is always so much extra to do! What is keeping you busy now…artistically or otherwise? Here we have 15 ducklings hatched by Mama to try to care for during our crazy temperature changes. I’m trying to get in some sculpting in between water changes. So many water changes…😂.

Sorry I’ve not posted much recently as I’m away from the bench and currently traveling in 🇬🇹 Guatemala. What better way to spend some time than to learn about the importance of jade historically here and try my hand at carving some of my own at in Antigua! My maestra Carmen was warm and friendly and we had lots of laughs while I carved my lilac jade. She even kept an eye on Black Phillip for me. 💙 Stonecutting lapidary artists…I appreciate you! 🫶 It’s tough work! Gracias Carmen y Casa Del Jade!
