Jimmy traffic
Jimmy’s sale video will be live TOMORROW! Stay tuned because he is one you won’t want to miss!
Jimmy isn’t bothered by much!
Jimmy
Having some fun with Jimmy as we get to work making his sale video. Getting all the footage - over 20 minutes worth - plus putting it together nicely is time consuming! But the worst part is always choosing the songs!! I can never decide 🤣
Maverick
Maverick today. It was hot but he was feeling good. This sand is not easy to slide in, but he sure stops correctly! He is for sale.
Waylon
2020 APHA gelding. 14.2. Asking 5,000
He had a good 60 day start and has sat for 30 days since he came home - therefore I don’t have a ton of videos. Super easy restart or flip project for someone, he is just hard to catch plus a little watchy and because of that not a fit for my program.
Jimmy said he wants to become an operator. I said that won’t work, pretty tricky without thumbs. 🤔😆
Take a spin on Maverick.
(He’s got it down pat now! Starting to speed up… 😎)
Jimmy roping dummy day 1
Jimmy and I spent the last two days working on some things at a clinic. He’s such a good boy. Trailered, tied, stood happy all alone. And, we even got him roping the dummy like a pro on the first day! He picked it up fast and had no problems with the rope. He will be perfect for someone to have fun on. He rates really nicely.
Jimmy is so kind. Honey wasn’t convinced.
Jimmy
Jimmy is turning into such a reliable young horse. After time off, he always comes back gentle and broke like one is supposed to. And - big news. He’ll be available THIS SEPTEMBER at Best of the West in Gladstone, New Jersey! He is not one you want to miss out on. This boy is responsive, athletic and fun, but has the quiet personality of a draft cross we all love.
Waylon
Nice little video from my trainer yesterday! Trimmed for viewing convenience.
Many of you know I don’t enjoy starting colts and I feel there are people out there way better at it than I am. I love the finishing process but colt starting is not my area of confidence. Well, Layne Inglis does a great job! Don’t hesitate to send any of your horses to him. Pretty excited to get this guy back home and take him to the show pen. He’ll be available in July or August once lightly shown and will be a great prospect for anyone. While he is reining and cowhorse bred, he could go on to be an excellent roping, english, all around or trail/pleasure horse, too. He has the size and build to be fairly versatile.
Rouge preview
Here is Rouge’s preview today, in case you missed it! He felt great, a little forward but so willing as per usual. I was so nervous, I am so excited to be here and really wanted to make a great impression!
It’s warm but nice out today. Come say hi, and the sale is at 3!
Rouge
Rouge waiting for his first test ride, standing enjoying the chaos. Yesterday I got a few comments that was the heat getting to him?
Nope! He’s just an ultra chill, super cool dude and this is how he is first thing in the morning when it’s cool and breezy!
We are so excited to be here at Cowgirl Cadillacs.
Whoa
Watch my hand- it didn’t move. That’s right, Rouge stops off feet and voice. Just put your feet forward and say “whoa.” Just want him to slow down? Say “easy.” Or, pull him to a slow stop. He’s easygoing.
Bring him home this Saturday at Cowgirl Cadillacs. Online and phone bid registration ends today at 6 pm! We are around today and tomorrow morning for test rides - I can guarantee you’ll love this one.
Rouge
Wow, just 10 days left! 🥹 Here’s Rouge just chilling ground tied in a busy parking lot beside a main highway… whoever brings this sweet boy home, is winning the lottery. 😍
Rouge
Wouldn’t you like to bring home a Cadillac? You can next weekend. Rouge is seen here with my 13 year old cousin; she can be nervous, but felt comfortable on him in no time!
Recently I noticed that Jimmy had lost some confidence. Why, I am not sure. But I am never afraid to take it back to groundwork, put a horse in some tough situations and teach him how to think through problems again. This was his first go with the tarp, with some preparation of course. Tomorrow he will come back his usual quiet self. This one is going to make a great partner for someone next year.
Did you know Rouge lays down on command, too? Plus, he bows and he comes up to the mounting block! What a gentleman!
Rouge trail ride
Ever worry about your horse not standing on the trail? Well, never again! Rouge stands great… and I don’t mean he “stands” but he STANDS! He is the perfect confidence boosting, relaxing trail horse as he just walks along quietly, phased by nothing.
