In all reality, there are good saddles that can fit a variety of horses HOWEVER, I would be willing to bet that most don't.
When in doubt, call me out!
Riding as many horses as I have gave me a lot of experience in fitting, buying and selling saddles. I'd be happy to help you find something that works for you and your horse.

Worked on the beautiful babies this week. They both came back from 60 days at the trainers as two year olds and benefited from some TLC.
The young ones are like sponges;
ready to receive and soak up soo much, but also willing to wring it all out and let go of unnecessary tension.
They remind us to stay curious and courageous.
Thank you Dannielle Fenske and Brenda Gilbert for trusting me with your precious princesses 💓

Hey guys! I'll be at Creekland Ranch by Warburg this weekend if anyone needs horses worked on shoot me a message! 💌

Spirit is a pony who was wanting to buck and his people believed in his kind, willing character so they've had me out twice now to do some work on him.
We were able to identify some soundness issues and restore balance.
Now these two are happy and ready to make some miles! Thanks Emily for making me a part of your team!

Had a wonderful first week in May full of new and old clients 🐎🤘🏻

Hello horse lovers! I know what it's like to struggle with one sided issues, whether it be restriction in the turns one direction or imbalanced leads! It can leave you feeling frustrated and worried about the soundness and enjoyment of your equine partner.

I know what it's like, I broke free of this cycle of one sided balance. Today, I have multiple tools and techniques to assess and restore range of motion. I have shared with my friends and clients these simple tools to assess and maintain their horses.

Imagine knowing day to day, ride to ride, what areas to work on to achieve the best results and not needing to call in a professional to identify and treat the problem!

If this resonates with you, I'd love for you to join me in an upcoming free online mini-training where I walk you through the steps to get the results you want.
Type YES in the comments if you want to join.

I am putting together a mini-training about how to enagage your horse in active self stretching to examine range of motion. 🐎

Now is a great time to do spring tune ups but knowing where your horse is at to begin with will help you choose the best method for creating balance. ☯️

Type YES below if you want to be a part of this training and I will let you know when it's ready!⬇️

Why is it important to use Handy HAy NEts ??

It's to keep your horse’s stomach full. Especially before you ask him to work!

Why? Because the horse’s stomach has been designed to always be full. Horses secrete strong hydrochloric acid in the lower section of their stomach. So the lower section was smart enough to protect itself with thick mucus. That way the acid doesn’t burn the flesh.

BUT, the top part of the stomach is totally unprotected from the acid. It was protected only by the fact the horse’s stomach was always full of fibre. This fibre was able to stop the acid from the lower part of the stomach from splashing to the top part.

Here's what this would look like if you could see into your horse's stomach (an excerpt from the ebook My Horse Is Crazy, My Horse Is Lazy).

Excellent explanation!!

Excellent explanation!!

This is a great example of something I'm often explaining to clients.

When you hear "your horse has long toes" what do you think? What do you assume the solution would be?

Before I started my hoofcare education, I would have thought - okay, if they're too long, then just trim them back to where they should be! Problem solved.

But it doesn't quite work that way when you have a neglected or poorly trimmed/shod hoof.

Notice the length of the wall on this foot. It is months overdue for a trim.
Now look at the distance from the apex of the frog to the edge of the sole.
Even if I trimmed most of the wall back (which I did), you'd still have an extremely long toe.

That's because horse's internal structures adapt to their external structures. So when you leave a horse's toe too long, over time, the whole hoof capsule changes.

This is one of the main reasons I suggest a short trim cycle for any horse who looks like this. Your hoofcare provider can only trim away what is unnecessary at that appointment. It's a slow process when you have this long of a toe. You need to back the toe up as often as possible without trimming too far into the white line or sole, for the horse's comfort.
Owners who do touch up trims are very helpful in these situations as well.

The good news is, with frequent trimming and hoof care, this hoof will look so much healthier within a year.

A horse that breaks at the poll - allows you to maintain position and speed regardless of activity. ⚡
If your horse is unable or unwilling to do so, they can not successfully balance and shift their weight back onto their hindquarters to allow the front end to remain light. A heavy front end means; ❎ resistance in stops ⏹, uncomfortable gaits ↕️, difficulty with lateral flexion and movement ↔️ and sometimes even lack of nerve supply or feeling to their feet and limbs. 🚫
If your equine partners are showing discomfort or difficulty in these areas, a therapy session may be able to restore range of motion and function. Message me to enquire or book! 📩

Happy Holidays🎄& an outstanding New Year to you all! 🎆

The only Angel's I've known had neither halos nor wings,

They didn't descend with words of wisdom and hymns to sing.

They were flesh and bone, heartbeat and soul,

They had steele shod hooves and hearts of gold.

To them I pray in times of need,
The trusty companion, colleague and steed,

The explorer, shepherd, compass and guide,

They lend us their strength- take it all in stride.

They're gifts to us mere mortals, our chance to fly,

They lent us their wings, if only in our minds.
