Looking to clear out the empties from your holiday festivities?
Pull up the driveway at 24 Grigg Drive in Simcoe to the blue building where the wooden bins are!
(Yes, we know the sign says do not drive up here, this is the exception!)
Keep us in mind with those empties this holiday season!

A few weeks back we put out the call for help moving our seacans to higher ground in preparation of filling in the lower parts of our property.
We didn't have high hopes for a quick and easy solution but decided to put it out into the universe anyways.
Steve Edge and Joe Smith immediately answered our call for help and on their day off they picked up equipment from their workplace, Keesmaat Construction (who donated the use of their equipment for the task).
They rolled up bright and early and moved all our seacans up top for us!!!
When they found out we were planning to post a thank you, they requested for us NOT to, because they didn't do it for the recognition; they did it because they're animal lovers and wanted to help. They didn't WANT the attention or the praise. They felt good about what they did for us, and for the animals and for them, that was enough.
We went back and forth, and in the end they agreed we could post this video and a THANK YOU, because their act of kindness reminded us of the power of a caring community, and was a moment where we saw that while it does take a village, our village is populated by some amazing people, like Steve and Joe (and Kelly Smith gets a kudos too, she tagged them in our post knowing they could help with what we saw as a massive road block).
So while we extend giant thank yous to these guys and their employer for their help, we also wanted to remind YOU that there is so much good in this world and there are AMAZING people in it, and in our community!
As they say... there ain't no folk like Norfolk!
