Walker and Cowboy were full of energy today! 🐾 We kicked things off with a fast-paced walk through the woods, racing down trails and taking in all the sights and smells. Currently in a foster to adopt home ♥️🐾

Meet Adoptable Roxy!

Beautiful little Roxy is an energetic 12 year old, 9pb, female, chihuahua/papillon mix. She is completely up to date on all vaccines, spayed, and the only health issue she has ever had is impacted anal glands, which was easily taken care of. She also had a teeth cleaning 3 years ago.

She likes to cuddle, loves to play with blankets (hide under them). We throw a blanket over her and lightly roll her up in it and she finds her way out. Loves that. She still does zoomies. Likes chilling on the couch right beside you(preferably on a blanket or pillow). Likes car rides unless she’s going to the vet (they always know)lol

She is shy and wary of strangers (people & dogs) until she gets to know them. She is protective of her family. She has stayed at kennels and with pet sitters with no issues and walked on leash well. We’re not sure how she would be with cats as we don’t have any. She does have a few quirks probably related to her early life. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in California when she was approximately one year old. She doesn’t like small enclosed spaces ( would not do well with crate), also is easily startled with sudden loud noises and vacuum cleaners (will try and attack) and lastly , strangely enough is afraid of house flies.

She is coming to us as an owner surrender and is looking for a nice and relaxed retirement home to enjoy with a loving person, persons, or family. She is currently located in Parksville, BC.
