A bunch of people stepped up to help us and they brought us to an awesome boarding facility in Columbus , Ohio . The people are so very nice here but we are alone a lot and really miss having a family to call our own.We call them our furry god mothers!!! We ll never give up until Debo from Yonkers SHelter is home and just as loved as we were.
Debo still needs our help we hope one day to no longer as for help with Debo but we will never turn our backs on him until he finds his forever. Donations desperately needed Next payment of 700 plus due Dec 1 💔🙏🏻 And for full transparency. Our situation with Debo has changed. Due to major chances between rescue involved with helping Debo get out of shelter originally and to the board/train. We are now also fully responsible for all Debo’s needs including all and any vetting he requires so will be fundraising consistently to ensure we can cover all all he needs. It was this or have an unknown fate for Debo and that wasn’t an optionsweet Debo who was so shut down at the shelter he didn’t come out of his kennel for the first 17 months. We rejoiced when we found rescue and rehabilitation for him last year. It is with the heaviest heart that I am sharing this with all of you.
Today 12/11/23 our boy Tyson passed away peacefully at home.
Tyson was unlike any pup. He was goofy, he was loving and he was ours.

I want to thank everyone who was involved in getting him to Sarah and I.

Gotcha day was June 26th, 2016.
We had him for 7 years, 4 months, and 17 days.
All you involved from sharing the pictures of him and V, to transporting. You all gave Sarah and I that time with him.

Thank you so much for that.

Rest easy now Tyson. We love you! ❤️

Why doesn’t anyone want me. ? I’m waiting over 1 1/2 years at Brookhaven NY shelter I’m 8-9 years old. I’m not getting any younger and I really want a family. I really sick of this bar scene.

Poor senior Smiley 🐾has tried everything to be noticed. Not 1 application to meet him 💔 not 1 meet and great. . Yes He’s a black dog who wants to be your only dog but There is nothing wrong with wanting to be alone with your people. Not everyone is a social cruise director in the human world, so why should all dogs be . he doesn't want to be part of a dog pack and he definitely doesn't want to hang at the dog park. What he wants is to be with his people, catch a show on the sofa next to you, have some snacks, and pass out happily on a dog bed.

This beautiful derp has gotten so odd lately.
Since being posted to NB Vienna has really changed almost all aspects of her old self.
When she first came.to us and even after a few years V had a lot of reservations about so many things!
Paws being touched.
Belly being exposed.
Her sister Athena lol

Now, well.. Complete change. V will sit on Sarah's lap expecting her to roll her around. Athena and V nap together plus give each other kisses.
We both grab her paws on a daily basis.
This is just the tip of the V-berg.

And as you can see..
V will sleep in such odd ways!
FYI that pinkish blanket is her blanket.
Oh yes.. We had to get V her own blanket so she would stop stealing all of Sarah's.
Also, what you can't fully make.out is that Vs put is raised. Under that pinkish blanket is another one..She's sloped!

Long over due update!

Well we moved again! We went from Newfoundland and Labrador to Quebec City and now we are in Oromocto New Brunswick.

As you can 👀
Tyson has gone very grey! He is an old man now. Still rocking the great life though! Still energetic, still loving, and of course.. Always hungry.
Vienna.. Oh my.. V has become a completely different pup. A lot of it has to do with Athena, our most wild one.
V' personality has done a complete 180. She is 100% goofy, weird and soo soo affectionate. Has even been able to see other dogs and get close to them (sometimes even to the greeting stage) without a hint of fur raise.

At leaves Athena. The baby of the bunch yet the one who taught the other two how to dog again.
V and Tyson have had there rough patches in their lives. You can tell when it comes to certain men, hoodies and even toy guns.
Yet, Athena came in and things started to change!

Now we have three absolutely bonker dogs who are so full of love.

From the bottom of mine and Sarah's hearts; We can not thank everyone who was involved in their rescue enough!!

PRESS RELEASE: 180 Animals Discovered in Puppy Mill.

At 7:30 P.M. on Friday, December 2nd, Brick Police Humane Law Enforcement Officer Ptl. Scott Smith responded with Ptl. Brennan Lanni to a home on Arrowhead Park Drive in reference to an anonymous complaint that the residents there were running a puppy mill. The officers met with the two residents, Aimee Lonczak (49 years old) and Michele Nycz (58 years old), in the driveway where the four had a conversation about the nature of the complaint. While speaking with Lonczak and Nycz, officers could smell a strong odor coming from the residence and they could hear barking.

The officers were subsequently permitted to enter the residence and immediately noticed a strong odor and unsanitary conditions. The officers observed stacks of animal crates on top of each other with dogs and cats in the crates. Because of the conditions, the officers were forced to exit and requested that a Hazmat team respond.

Initially, officers estimated that there were approximately 30 animals contained within the residence. Once emergency response teams were able to get into the home it became apparent that the number of animals was in excess of 100. The home was full of animal waste and the animals were living in horrible and inhumane conditions. At least two animals removed were deceased - both were dogs.

Rescuers in Hazmat equipment began removing animals which took approximately ten hours. The animals were then transported to a number of area shelters. There were 135 dogs and 45 cats removed from the residence. In addition to the two deceased dogs, approximately eight animals were sent for emergency veterinary care.

Lonczak and Nycz, who were living inside the residence with Lonczak’s 16-year old child, were both arrested for animal cruelty and child endangerment. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed. The residence was subsequently condemned by the Brick building and code department.

Sometimes you hear a story about a family or person going through unimaginable struggles and heartache and you can’t get it out of your head . You know they need help and you know you need to help them get it , after all we never know when we will a bump in the road ourselves

Recently while working with a animal shelter and police dept in A very small rural Louisiana town I was told of a family in dire need of help They have nothing The children need everything including underwear and socks
Last week A woman walked into the police department asking for help for her and her family. The on duty dispatcher and officers reached in their own pockets and bought blankets for the family and enough food for a week. Good humans do exist

The woman is A Navy VETERAN and with her pregnant daughter , and three small grandchildren 8 , 6 and 3 1/2 recently moved to the town. Dad is now out of the picture. The fled their prior home. Have lost everything, they have nothing but the clothes on their backs ( literally). They are in need of help to get back on their feet. They weren’t asking for money just items to help themselves and the children to be able to start over The cost of moving and securing a safe place to live took all they had

imagine the family just hoping for something as simple as underwear , socks a pair of shoes . . Imagine hoping someone will donate a mattress so your young child has a bed to sleep But then you need pillows and blankets to keep you warm at night. we can make this difficult time a little brighter for this family especially with holidays approaching.

And yes I’ve added a bunch of toys While a lot of our own kids have more stuff than they know what do with. These kids have nothing to give them a smile or a moment of fun. These dogs have no interest. Please tag rescues ASAP. anyone that can help. The shelter is over capacity. These dogs won’t make it out Rescues want to help but they can’t do it without fosters and donations.

But I realized last night that the animals there have pretty much nothing to improve the quality of their days while they wait so I’m hoping together with you of you to change that , to help this pretty much invisible shelter and their deserving residents

Yes here We are again asking for help sadly because it never ends and very few people would do what this woman did Please help her help Max. She truly saved his life twice

URGENT- MAX is The 4 yr old dog abandoned by his owners in an apartment on Long Island He headed to a high kill shelter until this wonderful woman stepped up to adopt him. Max was headed home yesterday when he PASSED OUT IN THE CAR AND IS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH PNEUMONIA and HEATSTROKE because he was left to live in a tiny bathroom with no ventilation just sweltering heat. this young girl didn’t have Max more than 15 minutes. . And now he’s ill in vet not near her home She was 10 minutes away from his original house and could have ( as many would have ) dumped back there instead she drove directly to west hills emergency and told them to do whatever it took to save his life👍and paid $1600 on the spot! With a mounting vet bill. please please help. No act of kindness is too small. They stepped to save Max. Please now let’s help them 🥲🙏🏻💙

URGENT: Max passed out in the car on his way to his new home. He is currently at west hills animal hospital. He has pneumonia! His new owners just had to pay $1600 and they are not even close to being done with the bill. They stepped up to save his life and haven’t even gotten the chance to get him home. Again we need help for one of beloved pups. 🙏🏻We have posted Ammo’s story before and are really sorry to post again and sound like a broken record but apparently no one has seen our post impacting donations and exposure. We reached less than half our goal in last month’s fundraiser for Ammo and sadly won’t be able to help others with training needs until we ‘be paid balance for Ammo ☹️

Our FB family knows we believe in giving our dogs and cats every chance and what ‘s ever needed to help get them home. Sadly too many wait too long and as a result some Need extra help. Ammo is one of our pups who really needs your help.🙏🏻🥰🥰He is a little pittie boy who has spent far too much time in the shelter! He’s been there since he was 8-9 months old when his family lost their home and he is now around 3

Ammo is a fun charismatic, athletic,staffie . Ammo has endless potential . He's always looking for a good time and loves people and life . Ammo was not handling the confines of shelter life especially with the added stress of the shelter being closed to volunteers for so long . A wonderful opportunity for rescue and board and train opened up with the wonderful people at the The Davis Dog Farm Inc. and Maxx K9 Academy LLC training so Ammo has left the building . Big thanks to Rebound Hounds for helping with his rescue. Because of a special relationship with one of our volunteers , they trusted us with taking him on before raising the funds. No one could bare to see him remain at the shelter any longer
He’s a playful dog who has energy that can’t be dealt with properly living behind bars. Having been at the shelter since he was a young pup right now he’s a bit shy and unsure of the big world outside the shelter but that’s ok his awesome rescue /trainers will fix that! Additionally He also needs a little leash obedience , to work on his overall manners and excitability with other dogs and new situations Ammo is super sweet but he will definitely benefit from structure in his life and confidence building. Training will provide boundaries and rules . His rescue and training will help facilitate his adoption process by teaching him how to be the perfect well-mannered companion for his special fur Ever home. With your help this handsome boy will been given a second chance .. With a good foundation Ammo will be a great addition to a home. Ammo we can’t wait to see you grow and blossom!

🛑🛑Sweet special needs dog seeking forever companion 🛑🛑

Meet Joey. 💙💙 Joey is 4 years old and sadly he is blind so he need someone experienced with special needs. He is a kill list survivor, Who has been waiting almost 2 years for a home of his own. He was saved and placed in a wonderful but supposed to be temporary foster . It’s not an ideal situation because the home has other dogs and because of his blindness and what is unknown to him. He is best as your one and only . As a result the dogs are being rotated and Joey spends way too much time in a crate. It’s not the life he deserves. 💙💙💙. Additionally Joey needs a low traffic home with no young kids as he’s gets nervous with the running. He is Very sweet with the humans of all sizes , he loves to be hugged. He is Neutered , Crate trained & house trained. There must be someone with patience and lots of love to give Joey the home and cozy bed he longs for. Please please share to find Joey ‘s hero. Update. Lucky is fighting for his life. The next 48 hours are critical. We are angry because this could have been avoided if he had an owner that cared. . We care and we refuse to give up on this 4 month pup. Lucky been transferred to a city hospital his bills will exceed 10,000 dollars Lucky desperately prayers and we desperately need donations. 💔💔🙏🏻🙏🏻😢 ( lucky is not a shelter dog )
🆘. Urgent please help us save Lucky’s life 🙏🏻. Sadly it never ends and once again we are pleading for help to save a dog. Lucky’s only chance is us 🆘.

Lucky is a 4 month old rottie puppy Living in Yonkers. ( not a shelter dog). One of our volunteers , who had previously met Lucky was contacted about him by his owner as he was listless , dehydrated and vomiting profusely and owner was unable to financially provide him the emergency medical care he required. To make matters worse apparently Lucky was sick like this for couple days and left untreated. As animal lovers and advocates we won’t give up or turn our back on Lucky . he’s just a sweet baby who should have a long life ahead of him.
It was confirmed he has the leptovirus which can be deadly , Lucky’s case is severe and he will be staying in the hospital for three days with antibiotics via the iv - there is sufficient damage to the kidneys .. which will require kidney dialysis- if he survives the next 48 hours. The total cost will exceed 10, 000 which is for hospitalization 8 -10’days and the dialysis The bill alone for his first 2 day hospital stay was 2200

Thank you for all your support. We are just 450 dollars from goal. We know we can do this because we have the best FB family After 2 Plus YEARS at the shelter Riley finally has a rescue and a chance. Donations needed 🐶🐶Yes here we are at it again asking for help . Sadly we have so many needs and without us and you the dogs have no one in their corner. One such dog is Riley pictured below Riley needs your help Found as a stray on the streets of Yonkers in Oct 2017 he spent over 2 years at the Yonkers Shelter. He’s approximately 4years While Riley is a sweet boy he needs some help The stress of the shelter took its toll and now he has a rescue but he needs training before he can be successfully adopted . Adopting either into a home without training will set up him for failure. He needs leash obedience , socialization and to work on his overall manners and excitability. After 2 Plus YEARS at the shelter Riley finally has a rescue and a chance. Donations needed 🐶🐶Yes here we are at it again asking for help . Sadly we have so many needs and without us and you the dogs have no one in their corner. One such dog is Riley pictured below Riley needs your help Found as a stray on the streets of Yonkers in Oct 2017 he spent over 2 years at the Yonkers Shelter. He’s approximately 4years While Riley is a sweet boy he needs some help The stress of the shelter took its toll and now he has a rescue but he needs training before he can be successfully adopted . Adopting either into a home without training will set up him for failure. He needs leash obedience , socialization and to work on his overall manners and excitability. Someone is excited!!!

V has become such a ball of love. This isn't even the tip of the vberg.. though she was willing to receive some love when she first arrived, she unfortunately was very much closed off. Unsure of what was happening and where she may end up next. It took months before she started to get more involved and seek out love. Eventually we brought in Athena. This was such a big step and it could have easily gone the other direction. However, for whatever reason V took to Athena and with that connection the remaining walls V had put up came crashing down. Vienna has become such a love seeking, love crazed puppy! The fear of uncertainty has vanished in her eyes. She knows she won't be going anywhere else. She knows she's home. Pack=found. <3

Mama needs all our help PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO READ AND WATCH. ❇️❇️WANTED: LIFETIME COMPANION SWEET SENIOR HOMELESS 3 PLUS YEARS. PLEASE DONT LET THE SHELTER BE ALL SHE KNOWS OR REMEMBERS. ❇️❇️ . We at the shelter have promised Mama a home and a family to belong to. It said Yonkers dogs are lucky they get the luxury of time. Well what good is time if no one ever comes. Young or old, playful or shy, feisty or fresh they all deserve a chance at walking out of those shelter doors one last time into the arms and lives of our forever families. The time has come to find Mama the perfect forever home.. It's always sad, confusing and frustrating when adoptable dogs don't receive the attention they deserve - more important, that they so desperately need It hurts my heart to consider what Mama must think, after being homeless so long She's a good girl who deserves to spend her live with a family of her own not alone in a lonely shelter Mama is smart, attentive and a ton of fun. A perfect dog for a walking companion, some couch cuddles and Netflix nights, or a best friend to keep a smile on your face! Mama longs for what all dogs should have. Tons of love. Abundance of great adventures And Most important a family to share hugs with. the kindness of a tender touch, lots of cuddles. ,the softness of her bed , long walks on the beach breathing the sunshine and just taking in life. Why is she still waiting Maybe everyone thinks "someone else will take her ? " Maybe because she's not on death row? She doesn't have an expiration date. Maybe people believe she's "safe " with the luxury of time well sadly we never know when one's time is up. I've watched too many dogs lately leave this earth never knowing what it's like to belong to someone and I refuse to allow that to be her fate. She is still too full of life to be cooped up in cage . We tried some raw kidney for a treat tonight after supper. It was Sooooooo good!!!!

Dad brought us home and extra special treat today, it was the most delicious treat over. Mommy also hinted there was another special treat for another day. We don't know what it is but we bet it is yummy.

Athena, the baby of the bunch does not enjoy the kennel. Her crying is nothing new. Soon as the gate clicks closed she starts. This however, this is something new from Vienna. At least new in the fact she hasn't done this while we were home. Had to take a quick video has Sarah was getting her shoes on.

Exactly one year ago today Tyson and Vienna left boarding and started their travels to their forever home. Here they are at their first overnight hotel stay with some friends who were assisting with their transport. You can tell they already felt so happy. They were a few short days away from finally meeting their new mommy and daddy and having bunches of happily ever forevers!! 🐶❤️🐶
