UPDATE!

The grey boy kitty has been reunited with his owner after 6 months missing from many kms away ❤️

The rescue is now officially closed.

❤️ Cat has been picked up successfully by 2 lovely people and delivered to another lovely lady ❤️ He is now safe and warm thank you to everyone!!!

I have a foster home lined up very close to where the kitty is in the snap trap.

Please can someone just pick him up and transfer him and if I send you money the foster will need litter, food, litter box, dishes etc.

He is friendly so is adoptable! I just don't have the means to neuter him for you!

A cat was trapped but not the orange one. A grey fluffy one!

If anyone can take this cat into foster care until someone figures out where it can go that would be great please message me!

The cat is currently in the trap and I am unable to do anything as I just wrecked my car good and needs to be towed!

There is a sweet orange cat that has been abandoned some time ago in New Glasgow and is living outside 😞 for many months.

He has been on a wait list at the new SPCA in Stellarton for 2 months now and not looking good that he will be accepted at the shelter anytime soon 😕 as they mainly take owner surrenders 😕

Is there anyone willing to foster him until the SPCA will take him? Or does anyone have any contacts at another SPCA that may be willing to take in an abandoned cat?

Of course the cruel humans who abandoned him didn't neuter him either and that's the difficulty in finding him a warm spot to sleep.

Now when I still had my home you know I would take him as I've never turned a cat away but unfortunately that is no longer an option 😞 - Lori

Reminder we are unable to take in owned kittens as we have done in the past due to lack of vets in this area. Please reach out to your local SPCA 🙏

Also this means we can no longer offer to spay momma cats for a reduced fee... the funds just aren't there and praying to have enough to cover outstanding surgeries.

This is a kitten RESCUE not a shelter or rehoming service so this is what my focus is on ♥️Kittens found outside, abandoned, barn kittens are rescues that need our help.

Back in the day before we lost so many vets this was a value which assisted with the horrendous overpopulation but sadly just not possible anymore.

Kitty Kitty is a 7 year old big boy looking for a home to call his own.

He came to us after his owner became ill :( and no longer able to care for him 😔

A quiet home without children under the age of 12 would be best suited for Kitty Kitty and he loves kittens 😸

He has been through alot taking time to adjust and still takes time to trust his human but is stuck to his foster mom ❤️

All rescues are overloaded with lengthy wait lists and none of us would be in this situation if everyone spayed and neutered their cats!

Do you remember Kitty Kitty 🐈 who had been hiding in the basement when his owner was in hospital for a couple months? He was so scared so he had to be live trapped :( then he went to the vet and was tested and neutered ❤️ He pretty much shut down due to the trauma of being alone without his owner and lack of companionship :( while in foster care he stopped eating for a few days and had to spend some time at the vet but certainly improved once he received some fluids and returned to foster care. This is when he began to finally look brighter ✨️ 💖 It took approximately 3 weeks or so in foster care for him to begin to gain trust again ❤️ time, patience and love brought this boy around 🐈‍⬛ Now he has ventured out of his foster room into the main part of his foster home and enjoying humans much more ❤️ he also gets along with the resident cats! Soon Kitty Kitty will be ready for his furever home 🏡 ❤️ 💕 🐈 😻

ABOUT THE KITTEN SUITES

The Kitten Suites are a foster based kitten rescue in Pictou County, NS for abandoned kittens, barn kittens, feral kittens and owner surrenders. Our focus is on the most vulnerable kittens 3 months old and younger however not limited to depending on each individual situation as well as available funds.

Once taken into care the kittens are tested for disease, treated for parasites, receive vaccinations, socialized, spayed/neutered at 6 months of age and adopted into approved loving forever homes after 8 weeks of age. Kittens who are adopted before they are 6 months old have their spay or neuter included in their adoption fee.

We are a non profit organization with a small group of compassionate volunteers and our mission is saving the lives of kittens, preventing/treating disease and controlling the overpopulation of cats in our community by ensuring spay and neuter.
