VERY excited to announce I have found a space and am getting back at it! 🤩

I was fortunate enough to take the rest of the summer off, but am ready to serve the Sundre area & build a clientele again! I was offered a space out of Pet Valu Sundre (407 Main Ave W) & couldn't be happier to get the chance to build & grow out of there!

I have a NEW buisness number (587-444-2021) you can message or call to book an appointment. My days in store will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sundays depending!

I miss my Stettler pups, but am so excited for my next steps out here! Thank you again for all your support, I wouldn't be where I am without it! 💙

Well... it has been a couple days & I'm finally a bit settled and back in the headspace to write this.

Last Wednesday I finished my last day grooming in Stettler. First off I want to say the biggest thanks to my mom and boyfriend for helping me pack up my shop & the hours spent cleaning to try and remove all the dog hair from the building lol! It was a very busy and overwhelming two days for me, and I am very lucky they had my back & helped me get it done.

I've been so fortunate over the last 2 years, being able to start my buisness and build my clientele. The Big Valley & Stettler community was nothing but kind to me. I can't thank my clients enough especially those who stuck around after their first grooms back in Big Valley (🙈) right until the end here in Stettler! It means the world to me, truly. There is still so much growth I want to do in this career, and I'm thankful Stettler allowed me to jump start that.

Being a young business owner has definitely had its up & downs. It can be physically & mentally exhausting at times - but also very rewarding. I always find it very hard to give myself a sense of validation, but this is something to be proud of 🤍

The last year in Stettler was a whirlwind - it is crazy how fast time flies. It has been a year of huge growth for myself & my business. I am thankful for all the people (AND of course dogs 💁🏻‍♀️) I was lucky enough to meet. I've been in Stettler all my life, and I believe to an extent - you are a product of your community & for that I am grateful.

I'm honestly still finding it hard to put into words all I want to say. But, thank you for supporting me - you may not think much when dropping off or picking up your dog... but that meant everything to me. I hope you all continue to love and spoil your little fur friends, and I will miss being apart of their routine.

I am now all moved and starting my new chapter in Sundre! I'm taking a bit of time off - but this page will be the first to know when I'm up and going again! & maybe I'll see some of you out here 😉

Life has been so busy the last bit I haven't been able to give the most important thanks...

Last week my bather, Nicole (AKA my mom 🫶🏻) finished her last day! She joined on helping me back in January for a couple days/hours a week. This was huge in helping me be able to fit more dogs in, and take a little burden off of me at points. I genuinely don't think I would've made it these last few months without her! She helped keep me sane & grounded, but also helped me take this next huge leap. I will forever be grateful for our time spent working together & I am so fortunate I was able to hire her.

Happy Thursday! ☀️

Short week for me as I'm off to go move into my new place! 🚚

The shop is only open Mon-Wed next week for half days & then I am officially done! My dog gear is still on 50% off so if you want to grab something that would be your only chance!

To be honest - the last month what I have lost on no shows would cover my rent... I am feeling a bit discouraged here right at the end. It unfortunately has added up to be a significant amount, which has been hard. But I am excited to come back Monday and finish off my last couple dogs!

I have officially hit my one month countdown!! ⏰

I still have a large supply of collars/harnesses/ leashes!

Bleu has worn his for a year now & I've ran into no problems. He's hiked, ran, and swam in the collar & harness, and it's still in great shape. (Just maybeeee a little less white 😉)

I am still very proud of these & would love Stettler to rock this gear.

⚠️ MAJOR announcement ⚠️

I know this may come as a big surprise but... Mad Dog Mutts will no longer be serving the Stettler area come July 2024 ❤️

I am still taking bookings up until June and all July pre booked appointments will be honoured unless messaged! Anything past that I will no longer be doing - I will send a message to those who have later appointments closer to my closing.

I know these last few appointments will book quite fast & I really do wish I could make time for everyone to get one last appointment. I'll do my best to respond in a timely manner but i do presume I will get quite a few coming in. Understand I'm not ignoring - but it does get overwhelming.

I spent a year in Big Valley, a year in Stettler & now I'm venturing on! I have plans to move out of the Stettler area this summer ♥️

I still have a few months so I'm not quite ready for the super heart-felt post just yet. This has not been easy - but I am ready to take the jump outside of my hometown. My heart does hurt thinking about the last time seeing certain faces & their dogs. I am just so so lucky to have built what I have & I am so grateful for the support and kind words I constantly receive.

I look forward to soaking in the next couple of months. Once again, thank you so much. My heart is so happy & so sad all at the same time ❤️

**update**

I have been sitting with this thought for quite awhile now... & I've made the difficult decision that I am NO LONGER taking on new clients! I've jumped back to a 6-8 week booking period & id like to be more available for my returning clients 😌 (I will post if I start again!)

It is a good "problem" to have & I am so thankful for the continuous support i have.

📆 I've also had many people pre booking multiple appointments - for the time being I am no longer booking passed JUNE. Life's hard to plan a year in advance 😉

Happy New Year!

I am out of the shop today - and all clients booked today should've received a text message. I may potentially need to cancel a few more days but will be in touch.

Goodbye 2023!! I am officially done until the New Year!

2023 has easily been the fastest year... hard to believe it's almost done. This was a HUGE year of growth not only for my business but also personally. It takes a lot from anyone mentally, physically & financially to start up a business - and being able to do that dependently at 21 is such a blessing. I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing if it wasn't for the best clients that keep coming back 😉. I've only been in the industry just shy of 2 years so I still have ways to go & lots to learn but I'm thankful to get to do that here. My life has changed a lot the last 6 months & im lucky I had this place to constantly push me forward! I could go on forever about what this all means to me, but all in all I am thankful to be doing what I'm doing - even if that just means brushing dogs 💁🏻‍♀️. It's been tough for me to feel proud in myself, but looking at this picture it makes my heart happy. I have started something I am SO proud to show off. 2023 I started off as a part time groomer & now I'm ending as a thriving business. This is just the warm up - 2024 I am so excited for you.
