I run a breeding farm located West of Edmonton, Alberta. I was raised in the horse industry all my life. Prior to raising Paints and Quarter Horses I was involved with the breeding, raising, and showing of Belgian Draft Horses all over North America. SLR Paints & Quarter Horses has been established for over ten wonderful years. I strive for the utmost excellence when it comes to breeding horses. I love nothing more than to see the birth of what I hope is your next champion or best friend. My foals have excelled in barrel racing, working cow horse, cutting, or it be your next best friend that you know you can always depend on.
I have worked very hard and looked high and low to find some of the very best bred mares and stallions for your consideration. It is my mission to produce a well-rounded horse that will do an honest days work out in the field, go the arena and take you to your next championship ribbon. I raise quality Paints and Quarter Horses with solid minds, good dispositions, correct conformation, speed, and cow sense. I currently have 12 stallions on the farm, 8 mature Paint stallions, plus 2 up and coming APHA Paint c**ts that will be future stallion prospects, 1 Quarter Horse Stallion, one up and coming double registered AOHA/APHA c**t and a Registered Quarter Pony Stallion. These stallions are very intelligent and eager to please. They have been hand picked with all the essential traits above with the color that is the icing on the cake.
My stallions and broodmares carry the excellent bloodlines of such great horses as Q T Poco Streke, Zan Parr Bar, Gallant Ghost, Hank-A-Chief, Sonny Dee Bar, Two Eyed Jack, Like A Diamond, Peppy San, Solanos Peppy San, Turn N Fire, Peppy San Badger, Alydar (TB), Genuine Peppy, Shinning Spark, Blue Boy Quincy and Dual Pep are just some of the great bloodlines offered in my Paints and Quarter Horses. It has taken me years to find the right mares with the dispositions, conformation and minds that make the best crosses with my stallions for the best all around horses.
