This past weekend Vinny was in his first dog show! It was a UKC show hosted by Grand River Kennel Club. He won best in breed, and best in show in the novice puppy category. ( puppies under 6 months )

Hello everyone!

I had interest in my barn hunt video I posted, and am setting up barn hunt classes/ a just for fun event! I wanted to check to see which days/ time works best for people interested. Here are the dates I had in mind

Wednesday August 10th at 7:00pm
Thursday August 11th at 7:00pm

If those dates are working with your schedule I will do my best to accommodate! This can be a weekly activity for yourself and your dogs, depending on the interest.

If you are interested in signing up, you can DM me on Instagram or send me a text a 519-301-0872. It will be about an hour long, but at the end we can truly tire your pooches out by having a play together in the meadow behind the barn. The cost will be $20 per dog.

I’m so excited to get this started!

🐾Do you often feel frustrated and maybe even embarrassed that your dog constantly jumps up on you and guests?

🐾Dogs jump up on people in hopes of getting our attention. They often get it because, in our eyes, we are expressing frustration, but even sounding angry and pushing your dog off is giving them the attention they are seeking.

🐾What to do: When your dog jumps up on anyone, simply turn around and say nothing. The act of ignoring is not what your dog is looking for, and making this a great strategy to get this behaviour to stop.

They were bred to burrow underground and hunt Vermont. They have a protruding chest to increase their vocalization…. 🐾 Do you ever wonder why your dog may be hesitant about you if you are wearing, say, glasses, a hat, or a different accessory than you usually do? That is because they mainly see the outline of shapes; this can throw them off.

🐾 Dogs have the instinct to track moving objects because this is their established prey tracking instinct.

🐾Also, you do not have to worry about your dog's ability to see during those middle-of-the-night p*e breaks because their eyes are naturally more adjusted to the darkness! This comes from their ancestor's need to hunt prey in the dark.
