I have had several people reach out to me asking if I am taking in any animals and what I can do to help. I wanted to share this story as it brightened my day so much!

The message I received! “Hi there
I have been feeding this stray cat for over a month and I’m feeling very certain that it does not have a home. She is extremely lovable and very very matted and needs to be clipped and find a happy forever home. Would you be interested in taking her? I would provide a donation if so”

I replied a couple days later and this was her response

Hi!
Thank you for getting back to me. I ended up sharing her on my page and a bunch of other people shared her sweet picture and within three hours we had a wonderful family take her in or I guess I should say…HIM now. 😸 They have already taken him to the vet and he said he was a full-blown Tom cat and was probably used to living outside. They’re having him shaved and all of his shots and getting him neutered. We’re so thrilled because he was so sweet and so beautiful. Again thanks for getting back to me. The pound said that they are having to euthanize cats now after 72 hours because they have so many and we just did not want that to happen to him. They suggested you, which is also wonderful… thank you for doing what you do!

At the end of the day even as a rescue, sometimes we require help. Help from shelters, help from vets, help from the community. It really does take a villiage.

At the end of this story, this sweet little muffin found a forever home and is safe as well as cared for.

Yes the last couple months I’ve not taken in as many strays since moving out of the area but this is a definite passion of mine and there is not a better feeling than being able to help someone or something feel loved for.

Hello!

Meeko is a 4 year old male who is looking for a new home. He is neutered and vet papers can be provided. He is a big boy at roughly 15 lbs but that doesn’t stop him from being scared of his own shadow. He is vocal and super friendly. Meeko is currently the only cat in the household but slow introductions to new friends could be a possibility!

Milo is up for adoption. This poor boy can’t catch a break. Milo was the original first rescue that changed the way I thought about rescuing. He was the first successful kitten that was saved.

He has been returned once for “being too playful at night” when he was a kitten 🙄

With recent changes to milos home life, he is stressed and is constantly being bullied.

Milo is a good cat for someone who only has 1 other animal in the household who is not dominant. Milo has been tested with dogs and is okay but could use a little work.

Milo is neutered and has all his shots and is literally just looking for his forever human; he honestly deserves it out of all of them.

Milo tends to hide if he is scared and isn’t sure about new faces but I’m hoping that the right person will come along and help him ease into this transition and love him forever.

Please make a difference for Milo ♥️♥️♥️ currently he is 1.5years old.

Hello lovely peeps ♥️

Been a while since I made a post but I am making a post in hopes to find some help placing some kittens. The Sandhill colony has been growing unfortunately again and plenty of young small kittens have been born.

I have moved my rescue and unfortunately it has been put on pause for the time being until I can find some space to continue supporting them that meets my needs as well as theirs.

I still am committed to finding homes, trapping, spaying and neutering, and doing everything I can to ensure the safety of the cats. In the next week or so I am planning on trapping as many cats as I can from that particular colony as the owner of the house is experiencing some health issues and has requested my help as he is in and out of hospital.

Winter is also coming and the chances of these small kittens surviving is pretty slim. They are being fed daily so at least that part is taken care of but everyone deserves a warm place. The newest batch of kittens are only a couple weeks old so help trapping mama is also very crucial.

If anyone can help commit to trapping or fostering for the time being, your time and help would be much appreciated.

The rescue has been super busy the last couple days- we had a momma deliver 6 healthy babies on September 27th. I was able to assist her on her last one because she was exhausted and wasn’t pushing enough. All is well- they will be up for adoption in the coming months.

I just want to introduce this sweet little guy that was part of the emergency rescue a couple days ago. For now, we have decided to name him Teddy. He loves to be pet and is very affectionate given what he has been through! I’m not sure how long he will be in our care as I am looking at other resources but in the meantime, if anyone is interested in adopting him, he will be neutered and health/vet checked very soon! Teddy is good around other cats and is a very sociable cat. #rescuingsaveslives

Just in 2024, the rescue has seen over 50 cats come and go. Lots have been adopted out to their forever homes, some unfortunately have passed to the other side, some have gone to other rescues and some are still with us ♥️🐾 this might not sound like a lot but it really is! #adoptdontshop #rescuingsaveslives #fosteringsaveslives #spayneutersaveslives

Mama did it…. 5 babies born this morning 2 calicos 2 orange and white babies 🥰🐾♥️

Still in the process of trying to trap mama. We left babies for now due to their size and we want to get them as healthy as we can. The rescue will be keeping a close eye on them and setting traps daily to bring those 7 babies plus mama in safely ♥️✨

If this offends you, please UNFRIEND me. This mama was dumped in Verner. We were able to catch her 5 kittens about 1.5 months ago. Mama disappeared for a bit and came back like this. HEAVILY PREGNANT. we managed to get her into the cage and bring her into the rescue. if you have a cat that you are no longer wanting, DO NOT DUMP. Be a decent human being and surrender or find alternative options. Two litters that we know of for this mama is hard on her especially cuz she looks so young herself. There is absolutely NO WAY she was a feral cat. She was 100% a house cat and was dumped as the other kittens were in a cardboard box. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS To whoever dumped this beautiful cat, Shane on you and want you to know that she will have such a good life and people will love her more than you possibly ever could 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻 To everyone else on my page following, thank you for your support 🐾💜🥰
