Trying to watch the Westminster breed judging with Mouse in the room 🤣🤣🤣
Doing something fun with Mouse's new trick!
Mousey and I are working on a new trick! Eventually I would like her to weave around my legs while I walk.
Why? 1. I want Mouse to have really high value for center position, because it's a good safe place for her in case we ever run into off leash dogs, bears, or anything else. 2. Mouse lives for training and I need to come up with things for us to do inside in the evening, so we're working on tricks!
Honey Badger is a very independent little dog. She was the revolutionary leader of her litter and really does things on her own terms.
This really works in our favour when we're conditioning her to keep searching for scent. So cool!
Honey Badger is a problem solver. She comes by it honestly, and we put effort into raising puppies that can solve problems and work with people.
Honey's big trick this week was learning to bust out of her kennel and the baby gate in the kitchen. Here she is learning that birch oil scent is rewarding. A much better use of her big brain from my perspective.
The treat is on the table by the window. So obvious to human eyes! But Honey is following scent as it moves around the room. The turn when she figures it out is just so cool to watch!!
Honey Badger has always been very thoughtful. She's turning out to be quite a methodical little searcher! But we'll see. She's still very new at this.
Honey Badger does everything her own way and at her own pace. The cool thing is she is a pretty determined little sniffer!
