SPOOKY HAS BEEN TRAPPED BY PETSEARCHERS!
SPOOKY HAS BEEN CAUGHT BY PETSEARCHERS!!
Spooky, a 13 year old indoor cat snuck out the door on Saturday night in Coquitlam. After countless searches by his owners to no avail, Parker at Petsearchers was called. We knew with all this rain that he was going to be close, and instead of risking spooking him further from home searching yards with our bloodhounds, we set up some traps in areas he would likely return to. We trapped him! He’s back home safe and sound!
From owner: “We are so happy to have our cat Spooky back! Thanks for your professionalism and knowledge.”
The video is moments before the trap closed behind him! You can see how cautious cats are before entering.

Bobby has been caught by Parker at Petsearchers!!
Bobby has been caught by Parker at Peatsearchers!!!
Bobby, a 15 year old cat, fell from the third story of a building 4 nights ago in South Surrey. After many search attempts by his owner and no sightings being reported, Parker was called. He went out and set up a trap in the area he was most likely going to return to. He was safely trapped overnight and is totally fine. He’s happy to be back home and is back to his usual self!
*there’s 2 videos combined here, about 15 seconds in you see just as the trap door closes on him! See comments for a pic of him at home!
Our Thermal Drone in use!
Thermal Drone in use!
Our Thermal Drone is an important tool we use when locating and following missing pets in wooded or farm areas. Instead of being on foot and potentially spooking the animal, which could drive it further into a dense/vast area, using a drone allows us to follow its tracks without causing panic. Thermal imaging allows us to see through thick tree layers and it picks up body heat from the animal.
The first bit of the video here is Kiwi checking out our trap (we ended up catching her a different way in the end). The second half of the video is our thermal mode and shows how we could follow her through the thick wooded area she was hiding in (we wouldn’t have been able to use a normal drone here). This allowed us to ensure she didn’t leave the woods and helped us know what path she frequented, so we could strategically place traps!
