October update: aI have received the quote for Precious surgery on November 29. It will be $1300 to $1400. I was surprised and happy to know that it is less then last year quote .

I wish to thank everyone that has donated to this cause, we are at about 30% of the cost. There is still time to bring you Toonie if you would like to help.

September UPDATE: Precious will have her assessment appointment October 8th and her surgery is scheduled for November 29.

If you haven't donated and wish to do so, you can still do it next time you come in with your pet.

As I need your help.

I have always been more of a giver then a taker.
Every morning I get up with my heart full and thankful for the job I have.
For the love I will have from your pets and the love and care I can give them back. They have helped me get through some though times this last two years, and I am thankful for that.
I am also thankful for the trust you ( parents) have in me with your pet's.
Overall I am thankful for all I have.

Now why do I need your help since I have so much???
For all that I do everyday I am asking a little back from my parent clients.

Here is the story.

This girl in the picture she is " Precious"( not her real name, I am going to keep some privacy for the parent and like to call her Precious)

She has been a client for sometime. I recommended a some dental work that is very needed, extractions and cleaning so she can have better and longer life.

Since then, everytime she comes in her parent apologizes for not being able to do her dental.
No need to apologize, we can only do what we can do when food and rent is important at the end of the day.

Today, my heart was hurting when I was grooming Precious , because even if I wanted to try to clean her teeth a little it would be impossible at this point.

It has been over 1 year that I recommended the teeth cleaning and extractions.
Unfortunatly it is not possible for the parent.
The vet will not do a payment plan and a loan will just had interest to the pile.

Because I am always thinking, I remembered a Portuguese TV show that my mother watches. This is what the show does for humans.....

Humans apply and go on TV. They make their struggle public, sometimes is a wheelchair they need, sometimes is a financial struggle....many things.

The TV show makes calls, contacts who they can to help sort out the problem and help and at the end if the show they ask that if " everyone that seen the show" would donate 1euro that help could happen.

It works and humans get the help they need and because everyone donates a very small amount it doesn't hurt no ones budget.

So my asking is $2.00 that could be one less coffee my clients would drink the day they come in and donate??!!

I am yet to contact the vet and ask for a quote for "Precious" and the parent will be following up with appointments that will be set up.

One year ago the quote was 1500.00, so I am thinking that today it would be maybe 2000.00! Will update on the progress and cost ASAP.

I have offered to pay the bill upfront and the parent would give the care Precious needs and would pay me back as she possibly can.

But my wish for "Precious" is to be able to reduce the bill payment for the parent.

As a business is not doable to cover the full cost of this bill, as a pet lover I will do my money contribution to this bill.

So for all the mornings I get up at 6AM to groom a pet because the parent forgot to book, for all the fees that exist as a policy but we're never charged ( late fee, matted fee, late pick up fee, bad behavior fee etc).

Help me help this little Treasure and bring a tonnie on your next visit.

You have no idea how this would make my day even better.

I have amazing clients and am hoping that my asking is not to much.

Happy Labour Day!!

September, October and December is full.
Regular clients that dont pre book their groom and need their pet done before December, I only have a few November spots left, don't wait or you will be looking for another groomer to do your last groom of the year.

*** The shop is not taking any new clients until 2025
A waiting list has been created in case a cancelation happens.
