Today, we had to make the difficult but necessary decision to help Rocket and Chewy cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge. Working with medical pups, we always understand that this moment may come, and it is never a decision we take lightly. We consistently consult with our vets and carefully consider each pup’s quality of life.

Words from the boys’ amazing fosters:
“Sometimes, the tiniest footprints leave the biggest imprints on your heart.
These two little fighters filled our lives with the best love and snuggles, even in their short time with us. We were blessed to have them, even if it was only for a little while. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at for the unwavering support and care you’ve provided, through both the good and difficult times. We are so grateful for your dedication to our community and families.

Rocket and Chewy were loved beyond measure, which made this decision so incredibly hard. Ultimately, we had to consider their quality of life and what was best for them.

Our Rocket man had declined quickly in the past few days; his little neurological system had deteriorated to the point where he was crying in pain. Chewy, too, had begun to decline. We couldn’t allow these innocent souls to suffer any longer. So, this morning, side by side, and surrounded by their furever families, they crossed the rainbow bridge. They were met by Murdock, Kiki, and Karma, who showed them the way.

We love these two with all our hearts, and they will be deeply missed. Thank you for allowing us to share their story with you. Your love and support mean the world to us. If you’d like to donate in their memory to Furever Able and help give the next generation of pups the best chance, it would be an honor.

Until we meet again, my loves.”

Get your gardens ready and support a great cause—100% of all sales will be donated to Fur-Ever Able Dog Rescue, a local registered charity that provides critical care to neonatal and special needs puppies and dogs.

We’ll have a huge variety of perennials and annuals, including:

URGENT FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!

Meet Hunter, a 4-month-old American Bulldog cross who is full of energy and love! Hunter is a playful boy who loves both people and other dogs. Unfortunately, he is being surrendered due to no fault of his own, and he’s looking for a loving foster home to help him thrive until he finds his for ever family. He will need to see our vet, but at this time, he does not appear to have any medical concerns.

However, we are not just looking for a foster for Hunter — we have many other pups and dogs in need! we rely on dedicated fosters to help these pups transition into their forever homes. Without fosters, we simply cannot continue helping these dogs in need.

The power is back on, the water is working, and we are ready to roll!

Thank you so much to everyone who reached out, helped cover gas for the generators, dropped off water, towels, and offered support. We are so extremely lucky to have this incredible community behind us.

We’re still powering through without electricity, but we’re holding strong. Since Saturday, we’ve been fueling our generators to keep things running. One generator is powering our pellet stove, ensuring that the kitchen and living room stay warm for the dogs, while the rest of the house remains chilly. Our PuppyWarmer incubator, running on our Honda generator, is keeping our tiniest ones safe and cozy upstairs.

We’re now on day three without running water, but we’re staying resourceful. The rain has helped refill the animals’ troughs, and we’re working hard to keep things flowing and prevent freezing as temperatures drop below zero. Our commitment to our animals remains unwavering—they need us, and we’re doing everything we can to care for them.

We know Hydro is focusing on restoring power to larger grids, and while we’re hopeful, we also understand it may take time. But we’re staying put—we have too many souls depending on us, and we’re not giving up.

Gill Update!

Gill has an ulcer in his eye, so the vet placed a contact lens and gave him a cone to help it heal properly. The good news is—he can now fully open his eye! He’s also on a course of eye drops four times a day, and we have a checkup scheduled for Friday to see how things are progressing.

He’s definitely on the mend, and we’re hopeful for a full recovery. I’ll send a photo from my mom’s phone shortly so you can see how he’s doing!

This week has been absolute chaos.😭
We’ve had so many last-minute emergencies and potential surgeries come up, it’s been hard to keep up — emotionally and financially.
• Gunner had to be rushed in for a possible pr*****ed p***s.
• Harmony needed an emergency vet visit today — she’s extremely stuffy, her breathing is laboured, and we’re worried it might be pneumonia.
• Gill has something going on with his eye that we’re still trying to get to the bottom of.
• And Guinness needed x-rays on her leg, which pushed back everything — including our replies to her adoption applications.

Last week’s Five Dollar Friday brought in just $50. And with our monthly bills averaging between $5,000–$7,000, depending on how many surgeries we have… that’s just not enough to keep going at the pace these animals need.

We are so grateful for every dollar, and we know times are tough — but if even a handful of people pitch in $5, it adds up so fast.

Ty is available for adoption 🚨🐾Ty is a 4-month-old American Bulldog mix with a heart as big as his smile! Despite being a tripod (having lost his leg at a day old due to an unfortunate accident), he gets around just fine and is full of love. Ty is on the smaller side weighing 18lbs, but that doesn’t stop him playing with the big dogs. He enjoys lounging around, especially on warm and sunny days, sprawled out on his comfy bed/sofa.

Ty has some vision imperfections, but he’s not blind. His vision might be a bit cloudy at times, but that doesn’t slow him down! He’s still able to navigate his world with confidence and enjoy his surroundings.

Ty is an easygoing pup who thrives in a relaxed environment. He loves people of all ages and is especially fond of cats! While he gets along with dogs, he can be a bit choosy, so he may be happiest in a home where he’s the only dog or with a buddy who shares his calm temperament. He’s also food-motivated and a bit of a food hog, so he would do best in a home where his humans are patient with him wanting to be first at the food dish.

This low-key pup doesn’t enjoy long walks or many stairs, but he’s happy to spend the day hanging out with his people. Ty is not fully house-trained yet but is making progress, and he’s already crate trained, which makes him feel safe and secure when you’re not around. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations and dewormer.

Ty would thrive in a calm, experienced home—ideally with a family familiar with bully breeds who can provide him the love, care, and patience he deserves. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who just wants to relax and be adored, Ty might be the perfect match for you!
