It takes a TEAM!

Lola was an owner surrender back in 2020. In the almost 3,000 adoptions we’ve done, Lola is the only bull terrier we’ve ever had! (or prove this marketing helper wrong all you longtime followers 😂)

After 12 years with her family, Karma was surrendered to a shelter and faced euthanasia due to overcrowding. Senior dogs like Karma often don’t do well in shelters, and she was terrified and lonely. But just in time, our team stepped in and saved her life.
Now in foster care, Karma has come back to life! She loves long walks, has boundless energy, and is incredibly affectionate. She’s working on her leash skills and getting better with other dogs. Karma still cries when left alone but settles down and sleeps in her crate.
Karma has so much more life to explore and love to give. Will you be the one to give her the forever home she deserves?
Contact us today to adopt Karma and give her the second chance she truly deserves ❤️

We have over 80 orders to work through, thanks to all of you that placed one. We really really appreciate the support. ✨🫶🏻

4 months is too young to be euthanized for a injury
Bruno is joining our care later today. Bruno is a 4 month old rottie x puppy with a leg injury that needs attention. He was surrendered as a “stray” but suspected to have been dropped by his family.
Dogs are abandoned at Ontario shelters with costly vetting. How can we better prevent these situations? Is it education before getting pets? Is it supporting people who love their pets but are not financially capable of supporting non-routine vetting emergencies? Is it finding ways to make vetting more affordable or pet insurance more understood? Is it seeking different service options from our municipal run (and government funded) shelters?
Something we are thinking about as we get Bruno into care and triage next steps.
Stay tuned to meet him! 👀

Help us help Ash 🫶🏻 We need to raise minimally $1,800 for his care
Ash is currently in recovery from surgery and is on the way to health. We need your help to sponsor his journey to get him into our care. This involves his FHO surgery, intake costs, supplies and additional vetting. The minimum cost is $1,800.
Help us by donating to our fundraiser today.
Ash is one of the 10 dogs we are fundraising for this month to celebrate our 10th year anniversary. In a time where we often have to say no to the huge number of intake requests we get, we are dedicating to help 10 dogs in desperate need of support.
Any amount helps 🫶🏻
All donations receive a tax receipt.
MUGSY IS HEADED TO FOSTER CARE!
This little guy was picked up from the shelter after days and days of pacing in his crate super stressed.
Thank you everyone who helped make this possible. From sharing his video to donating to his care. This is just beginning! We will update yall with his progress ✨
HAPPY SUNDAY!
a moment of silence for all the dogs doing unpaid overtime emotional support this weekend
Help us help Mugsy
We met Mugsy this weekend and after seeing him pacing in his kennel, we knew he was destined to join our foster care program. Dogs at this shelter are at risk for euthanasia for space, and are usually tagged if they are not handling the kennel environment well like this guy.
How to help?
💓Donate: Our average dog costs over $1000 to support through vetting, behavioural and supply needs. Please consider sending a donation.
🐶 Foster: We are looking for a foster home in the Greater Toronto Area - pronto! He is small sized Boxer mix weighing 35lbs and is roughly 1-2 years old. He has limited exposure to cats/dogs and would need guidance co-existing with either. He has no testing with kids.
If you’ve fostered or adopted with us before, simply email [email protected] to let us know you’re interested, give us some info on any relevant current circumstances. If you are a person new to fostering or adopting through our rescue, please fill out an application on our website. Interested in adoption? Mention it!
We may get more than 1 interested foster, and while there is only 1 Mugsy, there are many other dogs in similar need. Please indicate if you are willing to help another shelter dog! Note: dogs over 60lbs are the most at risk.
Let’s ban together to get Mugsy (and other dogs) out of the shelter.
Mugsy is one of the 10 dogs we are helping in honour of our 10th year anniversary. In a time when we often say no to helping dogs due to limited space in our care, we are excited to be able to welcome him thanks to your contribution!
