Say hello to our 2 new arrivals from Mexico who landed in Toronto on Tuesday! 🇲🇽➡️🇨🇦

✨ Tapioca — a tiny, gentle snuggle-lover who beat the odds and now spends her days playing with toys and soaking up all the cuddles.
✨ Isaac — our happy-go-lucky adventure buddy with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm for life.

Vidhira can’t believe she’s still single. Seriously — have you seen these ears?! 👂🐶 She’s cute, smart, goofy in all the best ways, and even puts herself to bed in her crate every night (yes, really).

✨ She walks beautifully on leash, loves a good puzzle or toy session, and still has just the right amount of puppy energy to keep life fun. She’s an independent girl who’s happy to keep herself busy, but she does best with a walk or two a day and some enriching activities to keep her curious mind satisfied.

We’re totally stumped that no one has scooped her up yet… maybe she’s just been waiting for you. 💛

✨ new adoptable - meet Now ✨

Male | 1.5 years old | 61 pounds | Medium energy | Has met kids and teens | Lives with a dog | Hasn’t met cats | From Mexico | Fostered in Toronto | Loyal

He’s got the best swooshy tail wags, and his happy-go-lucky personality is infectious. It’s delightful, to say the least, and his happy little snorts are, in fact, the best. This is NOW.

Already having come out of his shell in SOS care, NOW is off to the races! As he works on getting comfier and cozier, he’s been exploring a little more of his foster family’s home. That said, he still prefers spending time in his crate as his safe space. When there’s a sound that catches him off guard, that’s where he dashes off to.

We love how much he loves seeing his people first thing in the morning, and the confidence he’s gained over the last little while is great to see. He’s SO proud of himself for how he’s mastered the deck stairs in their backyard, and he takes a lot of pleasure in bounding up them.

We’re pretty certain NOW is going to love walks as his confidence continues to increase, and he’s already walking very well on a leash. His bum wiggles out on these walks might just be your new favourite thing! Inside the home, NOW is very chill and enjoys playing with his toys. He hasn’t yet figured out how to show off his playful side with his foster family’s resident dog, and, honestly, he really just wants his people’s love all to himself! He’d be a great solo dog.

He’s shy with younger kids, and on the whole, needs some time to warm up to people. With those he learns to trust, he’s a fiercely loyal dog, and if you’re looking for a quiet canine companion who loves to love his people, well, you’re in the right place. Apply to adopt!

Major update 💞✨🏡

“Atlas (formerly Major) is a sunshine boy. He loves laying outside on the grass & soaking up the rays. His second favourite activity is being chased when he’s got a hold of one of his toys - outside or in the living room. He also LOVES car rides and spending time at the cottage. He’s a part-time vacuum and full-time good boy.

He’s very smart and picks up on training quickly. His manners are coming along and he’s *slowly* learning how to make friends without excitedly barking in their face lol!

He’s the perfect little (although 55 pounds so far) addition to our family 😂 who also got to see his parents get engaged on Thanksgiving!”

✨ new adoptable - meet Rennie ✨

Male | 3.5 months old | 17 pounds | Medium energy | Good second dog | Playful with cats | Likely good with dog-savvy kids | From Manitoba | Fostered in Toronto | Playful & goofy | Quick learner

Ready to meet your new partner in crime? His name is RENNIE! His eagerness to greet his humans each and every morning (and any other time he exits his crate) is so sweet to see. He also likes to show off his butt wiggles and big stretches! He’s got the biggest and best personality, and he’s 100% the kind of scruff that thrives with human companionship. If you’re looking for one, he’d be your most loyal BFF.

RENNIE’s days are chock-full of learning and playing. He’s super food-motivated, which makes training extra fun, especially when his kibble is on the line. If we could humble-brag super quick, we’d tell you that he’s a master at sitting! He’s also accomplished stairs. House training and crate training have equally been a breeze. If there was something he was finding a bit trickier, it’s leash training. He’s getting more comfortable with the idea of a leash every day and is building up trust with his humans in the process.

RENNIE is thriving with a structured schedule with crate time here and there throughout the day to avoid overstimulation. He’d do best in a home that can give him their undivided attention to really develop their bond. As this young pup continues to learn, we think that he’d love living in a home with a (possibly bigger) dog to show him the ropes. Cats? RENNIE does well with cats, too, but it’s best if the cats have a place to escape Rennie’s puppy energy. You know how it is!

“Fostering and adopting through SOS literally changed my life. I fostered 4 dogs before Keway came to me and it was such a great experience. I never anticipated falling in love with such a big fluffy dog, but this guy stole my heart and I couldn’t let him go. Keway brings so much joy and laughter to my life, has taught me to love winter, that it’s okay to get a little messy and to be loud. We get stopped every day by people saying how cute he is, and how he has the best, floppiest ears around. He puts a smile on everyone’s face. He’s been living his best life since coming from Manitoba..camping, swimming, hiking, endless games of fetch, and being my constant squirrel patrol.

I feel so lucky to know the love of a dog, and am endlessly grateful to SOS for bringing us together🫶🏻”

How adorable is this! All props go to Meli’s foster mom.

Meli’s fosters just love her, saying she is a sweetheart who loves to get pets and affection. She likes activity and after a walk will settle by your feet for a nap. While she’s not as small as a true beanie baby, this girly is a nice size at only 28lbs. Shes 3 years old and currently being fostered in Toronto.
