How good are good trainers... as students? 🤔
At our Fall Quarterly Skills Development meeting, our Toronto instructors had a blast learning (and laughing 😂) with Karin Apfel of DogSmart Detection Training. Specializing in detection and obedience sports, Karin helped us level up our skills in toy play and engagement.
Between some questionable focus levels 💤 and bursts of laughter, we explored how to make play fun and rewarding for dogs, even those who aren’t naturally toy-motivated. We also tackled common challenges for toy-loving pups, like keep-away or not returning toys, turning play into a powerful training tool.
It was an afternoon of fun, learning, and teamwork as we worked with our own dogs (and each other's!), leveling up to bring even more expertise to our Puppy Start Right and Foundation Skills classes. Because when trainers grow, your pups benefit! 🐾✨
