Annex Cat Rescue Annex Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer charity dedicated to addressing the plight of homeless cats. Please note: We do not have an office or a shelter.

Annex Cat Rescue is a Toronto-based, 100% volunteer registered charity founded in 1997. Our mission is to address the problem of homeless & street cats in Toronto by spaying/neutering, bringing adoptable cats into our foster/adoption program, managing colonies of feral cats (those who are not adoptable), and educating the public about responsible pet ownership and living with community cats. Cats live with foster families or in managed colonies.

Today we highlight THE ANNEX CAT RESCUE , who truly have changed the lives of many lucky felines! 🐱 Annex Cat Rescue is dedicated to eliminating cat homelessness in Toronto. They help with daily feeding and colony management, medical/dental care, socializing, fostering, adopting or, in the case of feral cats, spaying/neutering and returning (TNR). ACR remains 100% volunteer-run with nearly 90% of monies raised helping cats in partnership with veterinarians who provide services at reduced rates. 👏🙌

These bonded senior brothers are on a mission—a mission to find their perfect forever home! Sherlock, a handsome orange tabby, and Watson, his sleek black sidekick, share a heartwarming bond that will melt yours. Together, they’ve swapped the adventures of their feral colony days for a calmer life filled with sunny windows, quiet naps, and the occasional playful wrestling match.

Both boys are on the shy side and still warming up to humans after over a year in foster care. Sherlock prefers observing from a distance but is brave enough to come closer when treats are involved. Watson, the more outgoing of the two, is beginning to enjoy sharing a room with his human friends and can’t resist the lure of wet treats. With patience, love, and plenty of tasty bribes, this duo is sure to blossom in a calm, quiet home.

Lady Mittens is a shy little princess with a sweet, gentle soul. She loves brushing sessions, forehead kisses, and cooing like a pigeon! Though she’s independent, she’ll delight you with soft nudges and occasional cuddles.

This petite lady (3.5 kg!) has a mild nature, impeccable litter habits, and a talent for watching bird videos. She takes daily meds for irritable bowel disease and thrives on her special diet.

Wemby was dumped outside by the family when his owner passed away, he lived over a year outside. When he was rescued he was full of matts and needed to work on trusting humans again.
