Tiny is still looking for her furever home šŸ¾šŸ¤

She’s a quiet and gentle 9 year old, sweet soul, who has adjusted beautifully after coming in from a cat colony. Tiny has a great appetite, as she loves to eat both wet and dry food, despite not having any teeth remaining!

Tiny has been through a lot and doesn’t ask for much, just a safe place to call home. A perfect furever home for Tiny would be in a stable and quiet home, with someone who is patient and kind. She may take a little time to feel safe, but once she does, she shows her love in the sweetest ways — staying close, enjoying gentle pets, and offering warm, cozy cuddles. Her affection is slow and soft, but worth the wait.

Could you be the one to give Tiny a safe and loving place to call home? šŸ”šŸ¤

Barney and Fred are looking for a loving forever home together.

Barney loves running after lightweight toys and chasing lasers, and he loves to greet people as they come home. Fred is the shyer of the pair, but he absolutely LOVES belly rubs. They spend their days napping together, grooming each other, play fighting. and watching "cat TV." Learn more about these sweethearts at annexcatrescue.ca/adopt.

Today is National Cuddle Up Day. At ACR, we know that a cuddle isn’t just cute, it’s powerful. A warm cat on your lap can lower stress, ease loneliness and turn an ordinary day into something softer and better. For our rescue cats, cuddling is also about trust. Many came from uncertain beginnings and every purr, head bump and biscuit-making session is a sign of healing.

Whether it’s a shy kitty learning it’s safe to lean in or a certified lap cat who takes their job very seriously, our cats are ready to cuddle their way into your heart.

Nikki is the sweetest little shadow, always stuck to your hip and happiest being your scarf, your hat or both at bedtime. He allows all handling and has the cutest scratchy, squeaky meows with his mouth wide open. He loves dried fish treats, Churu, basically anything meaty, and toys like wand toys, the scratcher ring with ball, and his beloved crunchy pickle. Nikki is openly affectionate with people and other cats and purrs like a well-oiled muscle car.

Tomie is the perfect little buddy ... curious, cuddly and always nearby to ā€œhelpā€ or check out what’s happening. He allows all handling, has tiny scratchy squeaky meows that somehow sound like a tiny rooster, and is obsessed with wand toys, the scratcher ring with ball and his beanbag chili pepper. Confident with other cats and a true little gentleman, he purrs like an engine until he falls asleep. His plush coat and little ā€œsnow pantsā€ when he runs make him look like a stuffed animal come to life.

They must be adopted together or into homes with friendly resident cats. For more info: annexcatrescue.ca/adopt/adoptable-cats

Baby is a striped orange kitten with a curious spirit. Once he gets to know you, cuddles are on the menu but patience is key while Baby settles in. He is adventurous, loves discovering new things and likes to play with toys.

Baby must be adopted with one of his siblings, Tabby or Candy, or into a home with a friendly resident cat. For more info: annexcatrescue.ca/adopt/adoptable-cats

When Valentina met Skuggi (formerly Shadow) just over a year ago, she was told he was "spicy but loveable". His foster would have loved to have kept him but their house cat wouldn't give him the time of day.

Valentina says, "I fell in love with Skuggi’s unimpressed little face and his big body and knew he was mine when he first swatted at me for daring to pet him from face-on. If I didn’t take him home, I wasn’t sure anyone else would have the patience for his occasional biting and he had been in foster care for so long already."

Meet Twix! A gentle calico with a soft heart.

A little shy at first, Twix blossoms with patience and trust, happily leaning in for head scratches and cozy naps by your side. She loves dangling toys, window watching, and enjoys all her meals with enthusiasm.

Twix would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and continue to build confidence. With time and kindness, she’ll become a deeply affectionate and loyal companion.

Meet Mocha & Moomoo — a closely bonded, playful pair who are almost never apart.

These playful brothers love wrestling, chasing toys, and daily interactive play. They enjoy scratchers, hiding spots, and spending most of their time side by side—sleeping, grooming, and playing together.

Moomoo is more openly affectionate, enjoying pets, lap naps, and gentle cuddles once settled. Mocha is slightly shyer but warms up with time, treats, and interaction. Both are food motivated and do best with a patient, loving home that can offer routine, enrichment, and companionship.

Stormy, a gentle and reserved cat, moves quietly and gracefully and is not very vocal. You’ll rarely hear her meow, though she may let out the occasional excited chirp when she’s engaged in play with her favourite toys.

Playtime is important to Stormy, especially chasing wand toys and the red dot, which she takes very seriously. She’s very food-motivated and happily accepts treats. She enjoys affection and snuggles when she initiates them and likes spending time near her people while they work or relax. She prefers interactions on her own terms.

Stormy would do best in a quiet adult-only home with no other animals. She requires an adopter who is patient and understanding — it took her several months to feel comfortable in her foster home but once trust is established, she forms a strong bond.

MISSING ACR CAT – OLD UNIONVILLE - PLEASE SHARE

Annex Cat Rescue is urgently seeking any sightings or information about a large, fluffy black cat missing since summer 2025 from the Main Street Unionville area (Old Train Station/Stiver Mill).

A proper search was never done. He is a former street cat with no teeth. We hope he may have joined a cat colony, found someone who feeds strays or even been taken into a home. He could be far from where he went missing. Any info from the past 6 months, confirmed or not, could help.

Description:
🧔 Large fluffy black cat with bushy tail and toe tufts
🧔 Yellow eyes, black nose
🧔 LEFT EAR tipped, NO TEETH
🧔 Neutered male, vaccinated, microchipped
🧔Likely skittish and hiding outdoors

How You Can Help
🧔 Report any possible sightings, no matter how old
🧔 Share with local rescuers, colony feeders, trail walkers
🧔Watch parks, trails and green spaces
🧔 Unionville residents: we urgently need local eyes and volunteers

Our Goal
🧔 We just need to know he’s safe and get him back inside if he is still living on the streets.
🧔 If he’s been rescued or adopted ... thank you, please tell us.
🧔 If there is bad news, please share so we can have closure.
