*******FOUND DOG******

Sweet girl found roaming the street near Queen and Lorne in Newmarket. She’s got a collar but no tags.

She’s safe and secured in our home for now, and we will be taking her to the vet to scan for a microchip momentarily.

We took her to the vet, she is chipped, so we’ve filed a report with 24 Hr Pet Watch. Fingers crossed, they’ll find her family soon, but if you know her, please message here or call/text 647.295.9281.

Did you know that WagWise is owned and operated by a familiar face in dog communities in the GTA?

My name is Amanda Gouthro, and I first dove head first into the dog world in Thornhill, ON when I adopted my first rescue dog, Buster. Buster, better known as Bubba, was a bit of a hot mess - wild, headstrong, completely unused to any degree of love, let alone structure.

The solution was simple! I quit my corporate job and started frantically baking and selling dog treats to support my new mission to help Bubba become the dog I knew he could be.

Baking dog cookies quickly turned into a thriving dog walking/boarding/training/grooming business that spanned York Region and Toronto, thanks to the invaluable support of some amazing people who I will highlight in future posts (you know who you are!).

This labour of love operated as Amanimals, Paws at Play and Red Hot Chili Puppies over the years, and each of the amazing dogs I cared for along the way graced me with the knowledge and experience I bring to WagWise today.

Our approach is based on the idea that a dog's behaviour tells us exactly what he needs us to know, if we can just decipher it.
