The Soulmutts Story: How It All Began.

Soulmutts started as a labor of love over a decade ago when we were rescuing dogs from a tiny island called Roatan in Honduras. One year we rescued a small puppy named Calypso who’s mother had been poisoned and was living under a porch next to a scuba diving shop on the beach. By sheer luck, the very next year we came across her brother from the same litter and he wasn’t in great shape at all.

So... we brought him back to Canada with us and reunited brother and sister in the parking lot of Pearson Airport. The minute they saw each other they recognized each other! It was a truly powerful moment that left us all in tears and from that moment on nothing would be the same. My life track turned from going for my PhD in Economics, to caring for dogs full time!

Thus, Soulmutts was born! Dogs are our soulmates, our companions and our best friends. Our pack is our family. Dogs are not a job to us, they are our lives. We are the human members of our dog pack and we spend our days engaging, teaching, socializing and bonding with our dogs.
