I've been making human clothing for many years, and when I got my first ShihTzu mix, I wasn't able to find a coat that was good for her long, low to the ground body type and as she was white and beige, it was really an issue to keep her clean. I tried different waterproof fabrics but settled on a light-weight vinyl with fleece or flannel lining for fall and spring, and double fleece for winter. Al
l the coats just wipe off with a damp cloth, and if they're really dirty they can be handwashed (no machine washing). My dog's coats lasted over eight years, so they are very durable. As they are made individually from your dog's measurements, it will fit very well. I don't even need to meet your dog, if measurements are given to me, I can mail the finished item to you. Neck: Size around the collar
Length: Measure from the collar to the beginning of the dog's tail. Girth: Measure around the dog's belly close to the front legs
Male or Female: I make narrower belly band for males.
