Spent a week with the best trio out there

It’s not often I get to go out to an acreage! But when I do… I have a blast!
Quinn, Nola, Pasquale, Re*****on, Beans, Smokey, Chandler, Shadow, Nash, and Phoenix.

Not photographed are Nola’s puppies! 7 FB1 Labradoodles! Only 1 week old and the cutest little nuggets!

I am so happy to have gotten the opportunity to care for this crew on this unseasonably warm weekend! Which allowed me to enjoy for a few days!

After Hours Emergency Care in Regina will be changing as of Oct 1, 2023 as the 24 hr Animal Care Center will no longer be able to consistently provide evening service. For the interim, clinics in Regina have partnered, to try and provide emergency coverage for patients that require immediate attention during the hours of 8pm-8am.

Due to the shortage of Veterinarians and RVTs, only patients with RED LEVEL status emergencies will potentially be able to be seen. Depending on the severity of the emergency and limitations with available staff, some emergencies may still need to be referred to WCVM Small Animal Clinic in Saskatoon.

*What do you do if you have a pet emergency?
At this time, you will still call the 24 hr Animal Care Center Regina at 306-761-1449 where they will triage phone calls and if your pet is determined to have a RED LEVEL status emergency they will contact the Veterinarian on call. Please note, you will then be directed to proceed to whichever veterinary hospital is on call that evening. Our hospital is included in this rotation.

*What if you are not able to be seen due to hospital staff limitations or do not wish to go to another hospital that is on call that evening?
You would then need to contact WCVM's Small Animal Clinic in Saskatoon at 306-966-7126. Their team would provide further direction as to your pet's emergency status level and whether or not they have availability to see your pet that evening; it is advised to CALL them first before driving. Additional after hours emergency facilities exist in Calgary and Winnipeg and can also be considered at your prerogative based on your pet's status.

Due to a shortage of Veterinarians, there will be no emergency services in Regina (from 8pm to 8am unless otherwise noted) over the following dates:

August 4th
August 5th
August 6th
August 16th
August 21st
August 22nd
August 23rd
August 24th
August 25th
August 26th
August 27th
August 28th
August 29th
August 30th (closed 9pm to 8am)
August 31st (closed 9pm to 8am)

If you are having an animal emergency between these hours, please call the Veterinary Medical Centre in Saskatoon. (1-306-966-7126). You will be triaged over the phone, and given further instructions.

The WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre's 24-hour Emergency Services are available for all animal species, 365 days of the year.

I am Alittle delayed in posting these as I wasn’t too sure if it was worth a post or not. But I realized how rare it actually is for someone to have their Pet First Aid!

I took these courses in July 2022 through Regina Humane Society partnered with One Heart Training

I am St.Johns Certified in Pet First Aid and RHS pet sitter certified!
