Baby Dora.
My wants my dinner!
Old Booie (Chiqqi) was such a quiet old dog. She was calm and chill and one of the kindest little souls…
…but every year when this red tulle came out, she would lose. Her. Frikkin. Mind. 🤪🥴
This video always makes me smile and miss this old girl. Gone over 4 years now. I hope you’re playing with that cwazy red fluff❤️❤️ where ever you are sweet little one.
This is how Squishi tells us she wants food. She’s very vocal but not in a barky way.
Does your pup vocalize? When do they do it?
Walkies time!
What’s your dogs word for going for a walk? What other words do they know and respond to?
Make your own salad cooking course, with Dora.
This is why everything is our back yard is edible and dog safe.
Calli and Daddy snoozle on the poop deck. This is what summer is all about. What a day for a day dream
Happy Gotcha day to our Isadora Duncan Tiny Dancer.
To know Izzi is to love her, she tells us when to go to bed and when it’s time to get up. She watches over the babies like a hawk, often putting herself between them and the ‘savage’ cats.
She’s our boss dog and the canine leader/alpha dog of the pack and we love her dearly. Happy Gotcha day, little one. You have enriched our lives and we promise to try to enrich your every single day.
Isn’t this the sweetest? This was Squigga’s first look.
#RIPSquigga
Our fence patrol is back on duty!
They won’t leave the fence, they patrol back and forth and watch.
This is Shira. Isn’t she cute?
Calliope is just too frikkin cute. She’s our little baby goat. Volume up to really appreciate this.
Do you live with a baby goat? Do you think Calli is cute?
From Isadora,
My went to the big puppy pawty at REN'S PETS St John’s today and my had such a good time.
My met sooo many new frens and all the kind people gave me soo many treats, my feels like a BIP — Berry Important pup.
My momma bought some new sciddors for cutting our fur and she also bought some new chew bones.
Check out dis bideo of me on the way home. I was sooo tired from the great adventure.
Thanks Rens! We be back.
Feeding time at Pike house/pack looks some thing like this.
They are always fed in order of hierarchy and the goal here is to have them make eye contact with me, the food provider and not fixate on the food. Only when they look in my eye, is the food given.
Just like out in the wild- waiting your turn is important in the pack, the alpha goes first. And then down the line to the youngest or the one with the lowest social standing in the pack.
Young eager ones get corrected quickly - in this case by mom, but in an animal world the elders would correct the pups and help them to understand their social status.
In our world/pack, dog to dog corrections happen often. They are never to hurt, there is never any blood or yelping in pain. It’s a normal part of living with a group of dogs.
As caretakers, we keep an eye to make sure this never gets out of hand, but we realize this is not fighting. It’s not the older dog being mean. It’s a teaching moment in the animal world. It is nature.
Aren’t they all good girls? Isn’t it cute watching Squishi learn?
Squishi! She’s such a good girl! She plays so hard all day long right up until she drops from exhaustion.
Sometimes she’s so tired she doesn’t even drop her toys before she fallls fast asleep. What a little character. Have a watch/listen.
Isn’t she adorable?
The Pike Pack are all excited!
Our fren Isabelle is getting a new little sister and we can’t wait to meet her.
Calli and Squishi wrote this little song especially for the new puppy.
They entitled this piece- Ode to Charlie.
Please enjoy!
Allllll together now….
🤭🧐😬
Our little baby goat.
Calliope is known for kicking up her heels; she tippy-tap dances with us every weekend…
…but this, is her very favourite move. The baby goat!
Isn’t she adorable? Does your dog do this?
Finicky Pup? Yesss, us too!
We do what it takes to ensure they have good food on board. We’re not above this.
Yes, she rules the roost and we are fine with that
The continuing story of the mouse house.
Sometimes it takes three to properly sing a tune. Our two babies have been singing choir together for awhile now, but this time they’ve gotten sissy Izzi involved.
Have a listen and watch. PS. The howler, AKA Squishi is inside the house.
