Shakers Pet Grooming An Island based pet grooming company! We are trainers turned groomers - pets learn good habits✂️🚐 There is a flat service fee rate of $30* for mobile services.

Shakers offers mobile service to your home for a fee, or you come to us at one of our parked locations! We service Parksville to Campbell River, including Coombs and Bowser! To be able to come to your home we need an outside water tap, a standard plug-in, and we have to be able to fit our 32ft truck on a flat(ish) driveway or road! We offer all pets service! Dogs & cats-horses & birds too! Do you

have a special event going on that you’d like us to attend? We bath dogs before competitions, shows, and sporting events! Agility trials, dock dives, herding trials, and more! Invite us along! We’ve got great day rates.

Meet powder princess, Cassiopeia!🤍❄️ A young Samoyed pup who was in desperate need of her first make over! Man - I wish I snapped a picture of her prior😅 she was not white..! These coats get so packed with dense clumps of fur that if not brushed out, can become huge pelted messes!
Fortunate for Cassi - her family brought her in before irreversible problems occurred! That’s not to say she didn’t tap out my arms, wrists and endurance🙃🛁

Her original home in Mexico left her stranded and nervous with no training or future. Coming to Canada has taught her so many exciting new things but how to be a pet tops it!🍁

I met this little cutie this week!🩵
August is a year old Aussiedood and I’ve seen him walking about the neighbourhood for quite awhile now! His family has been grooming him at home for the year and finally we’re ready to bring him to a pro!💈
🚐Some things to think about when you’re bringing your pet for the first time to a groomer;
🛁He’s going to be tired when he goes home! In the grooming shop there is lots of new rules, smells and new sounds etc. to experience! To a young dog, this can be tiring.
✂️It’s not going to take 3 days to groom him!
At home, August dogs family used to groom him over a matter of three days because they thought he could only tolerate a few minutes of grooming at a time! I assure you that when you introduce rules and boundaries into your relationships, they can tolerate an awful lot more than you imagine! August’s appointment took 90 minutes!🩵

🍎🍐For sale today in Dashwood, we will have pear or apple squares for sale. $5 bucks for a hefty square!
Eggs are for sale as well and don’t hesitate to take home a zucchini!😅💚

Hazels momma Clearly kept up on her long, dense, fluffy coat between grooming appointments! Hazel and sister Stella dogs got caught up in all the wildfire chaos - messing up their slots! But with some at home grooming - the girls got to keep their fur as if nothing happened🩷💁🏼‍♀️
