Today was a different day, we did our first cow trim 🐮

Saying this I can take on the odd milk cow under the right facility circumstances !

UPDATE (12/20/2024)
We are currently experiencing an outbreak of Equine Influenza, Equine Herpes Virus Type 2 + 5, Equine Adenovirus, which has led to several cases of Secondary Bacterial Pneumonia caused by Strep Zooepidmicus in affected horses. Equine influenza and these others viruses are highly contagious respiratory viruses that can spread rapidly among horses, especially in environments where they are in close contact.

Symptoms to Watch For:

Persistent coughing

Nasal discharge

Fever

Lethargy

Loss of appetite

Based in Fort st James and travel for work in the Vanderhoof and Surrounding areas as needed, I have opening spots Monday to Friday for trimming and shoeing, and weekends available for emergency calls only.

Just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to all my clients welcoming me back after maternity leave !
It isn’t easy travelling with a baby getting into a new routine, but everyone has been so great with helping me by having their horses caught and ready to go, holding kaizlyn to allow me to get the job done,
thanks to everyone taking me back on after a few months off I know it isn’t easy to find a farrier always for short periods of time!

Thank you for making my first month back so easy!

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their messages and eagerness to have me back to work as soon as possible,

But unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances my healing time will be extended to later September early October at soonest to be back at work.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but feel free to message me for reference referrals of other farriers in the area !

♦️PLEASE READ ♦️

Please have your horses caught and ready for the scheduled time frame discussed ahead of time, I have planned time slots for my day to day work period and when I arrive to a stop it’s nice to have horses ready to be done so I can carry on to the following stop accordingly.
Showing up to one stop with no owner around or horses caught throws off the rest of my day and is not fair to myself or other clients!
