I've been meaning to honour a very special guest, who crossed the rainbow bridge over a year ago. Turbo.
I've decided that the big room, will now be referred to as Turbo's Room . When I mentioned this to my friend Gaylene, she recruited her amazing spouse, Todd Moase, to create a sign for the wall in the room. It was dropped off today and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

It's been a while since I've posted but the inn continues to be busy with lots of new and returning guests. I will try harder to post more updates.
Currently, I have Nikko as my coworker in my office, beautiful Sophie in the smaller room while her brothers Blaze and Shadow and sister Cara are enjoying the bigger room.
Sweet little Kouichi is here along with the awesome boys, Henry and Handsome!

Noodle was a guest at the Inn and was such a joy to have here. The Inn went to Bella for a couple of weeks. I really enjoyed my time with both girls!
It's a beautiful Sunday at the Inn.
There are 2 awesome guests with me. Mr. D has been here before and settled in very quickly and is making himself right at home. It is the first stay for Cindea. She has settled in nicely. I am really enjoying both of these lovely cats.
What's new at the inn you ask?
Vayda and Ember were picked up by their Nanny yesterday to go home to wait for their family to arrive home from their vacation. Vayda had a bit of a rough start settling in here but I think before she left we were friends. Her sister, Ember, is a very sweet girl who showed Vayda that she was safe here.
Gina Belle was picked up this evening after a long stay with me. She was the best coworker and I will miss her. I think she was so happy to see her mom.
Pearl has been here for several days but is a bit camera shy but trust me, she is beautiful. I will keep trying to get her picture.
Finn and Mercury have been here for a few days and will be going home tomorrow. It was their first stay with me. I'm hoping they will be back. They are such kind and sweet kitties and I've enjoyed having them here.
Gracie and Paisley are back for a couple of weeks. They come in here like they never left. I always get lots of attention from these sweet girls when they are here.
Last, but not least, I am doing daily check ins with my favourite Egyptian Princess, Cleo, in her own home. I just love her so much but she just tolerates me. That's ok, I will take what I can get.
I am just so lucky to be trusted with families special furbabies when they are travelling. I love each and every guest for the special and individual characters they are and they bring me so much joy.

The Inn has 2 new guests, Vayda and Ember. They are still settling in but are really enjoying the cat house. Vayda loves being the queen of the castle on top, and Ember is in the dungeon (the bottom level of the cat house). Lol.
Gina Belle is also still enjoying her role as my co-worker. She is sleeping on the job this morning. She will be going home this week and I have more guests coming this weekend.

It's another beautiful Wednesday at the inn. Gina Belle is still the best co-worker, Otis and Mia are having a blast at Disneyland (as her parents call my home) and Gracie and Paisley are quite comfortable in the big room. Life is good! Have a wonderful rest of your week everyone!!
It's a lazy Friday night at the inn. Otis and Mia are making themselves at home and Gina Belle decided this bed is the most comfortable.
My sweet downstairs guests are doing great! Bella is really enjoying the smaller room and all the cat trees and places to play and hide. Gracie and Paisley were just dropped off last night and are settling in for not quite a week. The first time Paisley came she hid for several days but now she only takes about 12 hours before she is greeting me when I come down to spend time with them.
Pics of the upstairs crew will be posted later, when I can get some good pics of Otis and Mia. I'm sure I have lots of Gina Belle but I will save that for later too.

Beautiful Bella was dropped off this afternoon. She has settled in very quickly. Her parents are off to somewhere warm for a little over a week. Not only is she beautiful, she also is such a sweet girl. I know we will have a great time while her Mom and Dad are away.
The stunning Kouichi is still with me for a few days and we are taking advantage of the last few days for lots of snuggles and playtime. I will miss her when she goes home.
Gina Belle is still being the best coworker ever. She has decided she has tired of the cat tree and now has a new favourite spot. She looks quite comfortable if you ask me.
Later this week I have some regulars coming back. Gracie and Paisley along with Otis and Mia. I look forward to seeing them all!
I feel so honored to have owners trust me with their precious kitties!

The inn is a bit quiet today with only Kouichi and Gina Belle with me. I have a new boarder coming in a few days then I fill up next week. I am really enjoying both of these girls right now and I'm excited to meet Bella this weekend. I love getting to know every guest and developing a relationship with them.
Cats are such amazing souls and they bring so much joy to my life. I recently lost my Max and my heart still aches for him but he was such a huge personality and brought such joy to my life. I have 4 other cats who are all so different but I love them all for different reasons.

Five of my awesome guests were picked up this afternoon. :( I will miss those kitties, but I hope they will be back again.

Here are the Catnip Inn guests currently staying with me. I thought I had already shared pics but I can't seem to find my post.
Penelope, Persephone and Chino are in the guestroom, Rosie and Daisy are in the big room while Koichi is in the smaller room. Also, Gina Belle is spending some time upstairs in my office as my coworker until a boarding room becomes available.
Please join me in welcoming Kouichi to the Inn. She is still settling in and isn't quite sure what to think of me but I'm in love already. She is a sweet little girl who is staying with me while he'd parents are out of the country.
Henry and Handsome went home on Thursday and JJ and Stevie are going home this afternoon. I have 2 new guests coming in a few hours. I'm looking forward to having Rosie and Daisy here for a couple of weeks while their family head somewhere warm for a couple of weeks. Pictures to follow :)
I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. This has been an awesome year at the inn, having so many amazing kitties. I look forward to 2023 and having the honour of you all trusting me with your beloved cats. So far, the next several months are looking pretty busy with dates filling up.

This is what Christmas at the Catnip Inn looks like this year. The Inn is officially full and waiting for Santa to come. Handsome and Henry are comfortable in the regular spots in the big room, Stevie, a new guest, is settled in the smaller room with tons of his things from home. He isn't thrilled that he can't go outside, like he does at home, but he is purring and loving the attention. JJ is in the extra room still and loves the naps on the queen sized people bed with me every chance I get for JJ snuggles. Otis and Mia are upstairs with the other cats and loving all the friends they play with when they are here. They are my only boarders that stay upstairs with my cats as they are KCH kittens who were fostered here with me for a long time before they were adopted. Then, last but not least, we can't forget the beautiful Egyptian Princess Cleo, who is quite comfortable at home but I am checking in on her daily over the holidays to give her medication, feed, scoop and give her as many hugs and pets as she will tolerate. Cleo and I have quite a history so she will always have a special place in my heart. Actually, there are rarely any boarders that don't wiggle into a special place in my heart. :)
We all want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! More pics to come after Santa Paws arrives on Christmas day. I wonder if they have all been good all year long.
I just had my daily check in with Cleo at her home. It was so nice to spend some time with her today. We attempted a selfie but she is much more photogenic than I am. 😉
Otis and Mia are here with me until after Christmas now while their mom and dad are away. Their parents call my place "Disney". They are both KCH kittens and board regularly with me. I always enjoy having them here.
The Inn is starting to fill up for the holidays. JJ is a first time guest and will be here while his mom is visiting with family in another province. He is settled in the guestroom and is quite proud he has a queen sized bed all to himself.
The other rooms will be full in a few days. Hopefully Santa knows where to find these kitties this year.
I am also caring for another kitty, Cleo, in her own home over the holidays. She is a very special kitty who stayed with me for several months when she was quite sick but is doing amazing now. It was so great to see her today!
There will be lots of pics to share in the next week or so.

Beautiful Paisley and Gracie are back at the inn for a couple weeks and settled in like they had never left. They really love watching the birds out of the windows.
The next few months will be very busy here with lots of cats coming to stay while their families travel to visit family for the holidays or enjoy the beautiful weather down south. They can all be assured their fur babies will be well cared for and comfortable here.

Sansa is here for her first stay at the inn while her dad is away for a week. She is an insulin dependent diabetic and needs insulin administered twice a day. Thankfully I have lots of experience and we are getting along great. She is a lovely girl and I am really enjoying my time with her.

I received a message from my buddy Turbo's mom this evening that sweet Turbo has crossed the rainbow bridge. I am sending lots of hugs and love to Beth and Jeff on the loss of the best cat ever. I will certainly miss the sass and those amazing Turbo hugs. I loved him like my own. Until we meet again Turbo. ❤️❤️❤️

Gracie and Paisley are staying at the Inn this week. Their mom misses them very much. I was only able to get a picture of Gracie as Paisley is a bit shy but if I manage to get a pic I will update my post with a picture. She is a beautiful girl, just like her older sister.
Sweet Gena kept me company over the Thanksgiving weekend.
These beauties aren't at the inn this week but I am making daily in-home check ins while their mom is away for work. That is always an option for kitties that don't do well with change. Lucy and Ella had a great time while I was there playing with their da-bird toy.
There is lots of activity at the Inn this weekend. Henry and Handsome are chilling in the big room and Turbo is quite comfortable in the smaller room. Otis and Mia are here for a bit but wouldn't pose for any new pics but they are having a blast. I'm downstairs this morning getting lots of hugs and snuggles with these boys. I have an extensive background in rescue and have cared for hundreds of cats/kittens over the years. I love cats and will do my best to make them feel like they are part of my family so you can leave them with the comfort of knowing they are safe and comfortable while you are away.
I provide a “just like home” setting and only have limited space for boarding your cat(s) to ensure their stay with me is a comfortable one.
Each cat or family of cats will have their own room in my home which has access to a window to look outside, their own cat tree, a TV or radio for background noise, a comfortable cat bed, lots of toys to entertain them.
I do run a rescue from my home but none of my guests will be exposed or meet any rescues or my resident cats as they will be kept in the lower level of my homes in two rooms set aside for my guests. There is a separate entrance for the owners to drop off their cats so as not to cause any unnecessary stress to the cat.
Pricing:
$25/day for stays of 4 days or less (add $5/day for each additional cat sharing the same room)
$20/day for stays of 5 days or more (add $5/day for each additional cat sharing the same room)
The contract must be signed and half of the boarding fees are due at drop off with the remaining amount due at pick up. I accept cash or etransfer.
Drop off and pick up times will be pre-arranged with no set drop off or pick up times.
I recommend you provide your cat’s food and food/water dishes to avoid any stomach upset by changing their diet during their stay. If you forget their food or run out I can provide food for an additional cost.
I will provide litter and a litter box however, if you cat is fussy about their litter or litterbox it would be a good idea to bring their own.
I do provide a comfortable cat bed and toys but if your cat has a favorite bed and toys it would be nice to bring them along. Also, you can bring along a blanket or clothes that smell like home to make their stay feel more like home.
All cats must be up to date on their vaccines and flea treatment. A letter from your veterinary clinic or a copy of their vet record is required at drop off.
