Just another manic Monday! Ever heard of zoomies? Ever wondered why your pooch just gets a sudden burst of energy and is running in circles or ripping around the house? How long? How long does it take for a rescue or foster to start getting more comfortable in your home? There's a theory referred to as the magic 3s. 3 days to adjust to the new environment. 3 weeks to bond and learn household rules. And 3 months to start feeling fully secure at home! Remember no two dogs are alike and you need to be patient with them as they navigate a completely new life with you! ❤️

New Hope was founded in 2003 by volunteers that wanted to help address the dog overpopulation problem. They are a foster based rescue who sends all of their dogs to live with families that rehabilitate them and show these dogs love until they can heal and find forever homes of their own. New Hope has helped rescue over 3602 dogs since being founded and they are still working hard as ever to assure the dogs who come into their care find loving forever homes. Winter's finally here! Just a friendly reminder that certain dogs are more susceptible to the cold than others! If your dog does not have an undercoat then you're going to want to make sure they have a coat! Puppies are also more susceptible to the cold! Bundle up out there and stay warm!
