I so relate to this as my young pup is now a senior gal, with kidney issues causing me concern. But she is still spry, active, loves her walks and doing zoomies around the yard.....I am taking it all in!! I am cuddling her, kissing her head, and cuddling her some more, treating her to her favorite parks and I jump for joy when she eats all her food ....and yes, I will be there till the very end.

Who else relates? Please post a picture of your senior companion...nice to see white whiskers and soulful eyes! 🐾❤

My biggest fear is dying before my pets....no one will love them like I do. 🐾😔❤

If I passed before my dog, I would ask for permission to return just to say goodbye; to let my dog know that God called me, and that I didn't abandon him.

I would tell him I want him to take care of himself, and that in the meantime, I'll be waiting for him.

I would give him one last kiss, one last hug, and tell him that he's the best thing that has ever happened to me. That he is the one I've loved the most.

If I pass first, give me permission to tell him that. And especially to tell him that when we finally meet again, it will be forever.
