Hello Everyone,
As you may know, Reptile Store has closed their door at their physical location in Hamilton. This translates to us not being able to help reptiles in need as much as we wanted to. With door closed and people behind adoptions gone, we have not been very active in that field.
We are going to Expo on this weekend and we will bring couple of adoptable Bearded Dragons. Some of them require special care and attention due to their mobility issues, the other are without mobility impediments and can be adopted by anybody. Their care would be not different from regular "perfect" dragon.
I am attaching pictures of adoptables here in case you wanted to know what to expect. Adoption price is set at $30.00 regardless of the animal.
Hope to see you there.
If you want to reserve any of the animals, please email me at [email protected]
This is THE ONLY email we have currently access to. so please use that one.

Say hello to Buster the Ball Python! Buster is a "wild type" or "Normal" morph, just how nature intended! Owning a ball python that is not a fancy morph has many perks! They tend to eat better and have very few neurological issues that usually come with fancy morphs from selective breeding. Buster has no imperfections and was simply abandoned by their previous owner. If you are looking for a great companion like Buster please email [email protected] or contact us via our social media's.

We would once again like to thank the endless kindness of Lori Bartlett who donated these things to help the reptiles in our care have the best possible recovery and comfort they so deeply deserve. Lori has donated an incredible amount of items and money that has helped so many of the reptiles you see us post. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ there is no proper way to convey how thankful we are.

We would like to thank our new Fundraising Coordinator Justine for everything she has done since officially joining the team. All of the fantastic bath bombs, stickers, and online gently used pet item sales have been her wonderful ideas. She has worked constantly to find husbandry items and anything else helpful to the healing, enrichment and healthcare of our adoptable animals. We are so thankful to have you Justine! ❤️

**Fig has had an overwhelming amount of adoption offers in the past couple of hours. If you are open to any other dragons that are ready for homes now, consider adopting them instead**
Meet Fig the juvenile bearded dragon with 3 missing feet and a nipped tail. Fig is a strong fighter who has over come a huge disadvantage. Fig gets around independently and has proven that they still have quality of life and a will to live. Please be kind if commenting on Figs post. Fig has a little more healing to do on their tail but we wanted to share Fig with any potential future adopters. If you have any further questions about Fig, please email us at [email protected] or message us on our social media pages!

Grandpa saw the vet today!
Thanks to everyone who donated and shared his fundraiser! He got some Xrays done, blood work, and some calcium medication. X-rays show that Grandpas spine has no fractures, however has some old rib fractures that have healed. Unfortunately the X ray didn't tell us why he can't move the lower half of his body. We will get the blood work results in roughly 2 weeks time. Blood work will tell us more about Grandpas internal organs and health so we can add any medications to help him. Part of your donations will also be going to help Grandpa get some wheels so he can have the best possible quality of life! We will be updating you all on Grandpa as we find out more! We will hopefully be getting more of our animals to the vet to get some tests as well. Thank you to the team at Campus Estates Veteranary Hospital and all of you as well!

*WARNING* GRAFFIC PHOTOS THAT COULD BE VERY UPSETTING TO SOME FOLLOWERS PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING! This is an educational post about appliances and to demonstrate why it is extremely important for us to be continuing to pursue becoming a non profit organization. This snake was brought in by a distraught owner. This was an ACCIDENT, they are extremely remorseful, and they brought the snake to get the help it needed within their means. There is absolutely no need to pass judgment. If people feel that bringing animals to us or any organization for help will end in public bashing or extreme judgment, less people will seek help, and that is not what we want. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
This snake escaped its enclosure and was missing for quite some time before it was located. If you are missing a reptile, it is very important that you check all areas of your heat appliances before you turn them on. The snake in this case unfortunately took refuge in the area of an oven and went undetected before it sustained serious injuries. It is extremely important to seek medical attention immediately if your reptile is injured. Wounds like this will not heal on their own and the animal MUST receive pain management and quality of life assessment from a professional. The amount of medication and care that this snake currently needs is very costly so if you would like to donate please click the link to our Go Fund Me page. https://gofund.me/6bd5493c

We are attempting to figure out how to blur the photos as sensitive content, but are having difficulty. Please be respectful.

Todays sponsor highlight is Estelle the Fat Tail Gecko who is very underweight. Estelle has spent most of her life as a breeding gecko and due to an unfortunate oversight, her body gave up more than it could spare for her babies. Despite the previous owners best efforts Estelle has had great difficulty returning to her former self. Estelle is being cared for by our volunteers and is receiving deworming medication and a special food diet. If you would like to help sponsor Estelles recovery please click the link to our Go Fund Me page ❤ https://gofund.me/6bd5493c

Thank you to everyone who helped get Grandpa the funds needed to help get his health back on track. The Go Fund Me page takes up to five business days before we can withdraw the money. We will be scheduling Grandpa as soon as possible at Campus Estates Veteranary Clinic. We will be posting updates as we get them. Until we find out if Grandpa can use his back legs again we are working on a mobility device for him. Grandpa's new favorite hobby is looking out the window, he can lay for hours enjoying himself. We have started another fundraiser to help the other animals currently with us in our care. We continue to be extremely grateful for everyone's support and the privilege to work with reptiles like Grandpa who deserve better than they have had. We hope to see you all in May at the Reptile Expo!

Perfect Imperfect Adoptions: Mission

The average reptile retailer will commonly only purchase “perfect” animals for reselling. As a result, any animal with any big or small physical or neurological imperfection is often left behind without the chance to find a home.

The impact of the perfect-only selling of animals means that without a place to go most of these imperfect animals are often euthanized due to lack of space.

Unlike cats and dogs there is no place to send these reptiles and amphibians to be adopted out to loving homes. Where they can live out long successful lives getting the one on one care that they need.

Our mission is to bring attention to this issue and fight the stigma that imperfect means “bad”. All the animals are in good health and despite looking a bit different are still able to make good pets. They are still able to make you smile, and they are still able to bring you joy.
