Parker had a swim tonight & i think he enjoyed it.... swam around like a little beaver & I suds him up with cedar shampoo. What a stunning little dude!

This is Parker being a very good boy & learning boundaries! He has come to learn that even though he can easily jump the baby gate that is only a couple feet high, when it is CLOSED...the kitchen is off limits. So here he is laying down beside it so he can watch everything+get lots of praise for being a good boy!

ok... this plott boy is cute & SMART... he's come a long way in just a couple of months. He figured out the sliding gate in the kitchen within his first half hour here; he'll test any week spot in a fence, but it's just to go visit the neighbors! He loves people, does great with other dogs, can attach easily to his caregiver & craves affection! It's a good thing he's cute because he can also get into a whole lot of trouble when left unattended.... at least my horror turned to relief when I realized all the chipped sponge everywhere was what was left of the kitchen dog bed & NOT my livingroom sofa ! Thank God!

Parker's fav spots are the old dog couch in the bedroom or any place close to where you are! He's come a long way since his life of being cold & hungry on a 4ft chain in the bush. This boy just wants to be loved by everybody. He is house trained... no accidents in the past 3 wks; so he has graduated to free house time and is no longer locked in the crate at night. He didn't seem to mind the crate & adapted easily... but recently made it clear that he has graduated past it (he can be very stubborn & persistent) He can complain for quite a while when he feels he is being unjustly confined. He is now learning that gates & boundaries are not to be breached (even if you can easily jump them). He is also learning that you must keep all 4 feet on the floor when you are inside (no jumping over counters or walking on bar tops). He is incredibly smart and could slide open the gate between rooms with his paw on the first attempt. He loves to snuggle & will just steal your heart when he lays his head on your chest & looks up at you with those big brown eyes!

Parker is a just a pup who loves to play! He has a lot of energy & is great with dogs so would do well with an energetic companion to play with. He is beginning to learn the rules of the house but needs a family willing to continue teaching him to be a good canine citizen. He loves everybody & everything... just so enthusiastic about life!

Parker, this funny little man is a typical hound clown that can always bring a smile to my face ! He can climb & always like to find the high ground... he can leap from a sitting position onto a bar stool & right onto the bar/counter top ! He's learning that is not acceptable behavior in a home... there is just so much to learn! He has progressed past marking & peeing in his crate, or ripping up his bed! 🤣 He is just so lovable & so good with other dogs. He has shown no food aggression or resource guarding. Parker just loves everybody & craves affection. With some house manners & training, he will make some lucky family a wonderful companion!

Parker plott hound & Banjo redtick boy on Parker's first morning with us... he had an awesome night, slept like a log & no issues at all! What a honey... too bad they are calling for rain today! Trying to get some energy out of them before it hits!

Parker had a long day... but romped in the yard for the evening with Banjo then had a large bowl of food, a cookie, then another romp in the yard at sunset... now snoozing in the crate. What an awesome hunk of love-bug !!

a HUGE shout out to Morgan & James Christie today, for doing a 12 hr round trip road trip to secure Parker in foster care & deliver another hound to her adopter ! Parker is loving his new digs & is quite happy to have Banjo as a playmate I think !
