We are looking for a trainer!

Our facility is a semi-private adult amateur barn west of Lethbridge in the Monarch river bottom. The ideal candidate will have an established Western/English riding lesson program in place, with consideration being given to jumping for the right instructor. Trainers with young prospects or client horses are welcome to apply.

Casper enjoyed our new radiant heaters last night! He had a blanket of snow on his back, but after 15 minutes under the heaters, he was completely dry. All our boarders are welcome to use this new perk to dry off after being ridden. 🐴☀️

In order to fill up our pens for winter, we've decided to offer a new permanent boarding option for retired horses. Retired horses are defined as an equine that can no longer be ridden, but still like to be brushed, pampered, and worked with on the ground. We're offering a reduced rate of $200 per month for your senior horse to stay in one of our large paddocks, either alone or with others. Arena access is permitted with usage of the tack stalls, wash bay, and heated indoor arena for in-hand work only. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like to board your old friend with us and have any questions.

Nestled in the River-bottom near Monarch, AB, Summer Sonnet Stables is a family owned and operated business, aimed at providing equine enthusiasts and their animals a home away from home.

We offer outdoor boarding pens with shelters, outstanding trail riding alongside the Oldman River, heated indoor riding arena, outdoor grass riding arena, and a round-pen. We pride ourselves on high quality feed which is grown and processed directly on site and fed twice daily to the animals in our care.
