Hello my lovely hungry mutts!!!! I know I know, I've been MIA but you know life happens! I am still quite busy behind the scenes considering I took a "break" the last few months but HM is slowly going back to full swing! I am currently working on restocking. Some treats are already available for pre order with the goal of having everything back up by 3rd week of January. Thank you so much for your continued support and for being patient as I navigate around significant life changes.

Happy Friday!!! This week just went by too quick for my liking! I have been off from my day job until mid next week but it feels like I was never off at all 😅😅. I'm out of stock of mostly all your faves but I am currently working on them and they are already available for pre order, so by next weekend they will be ready to go out again. Im getting questions about bully sticks restock- I have about 100 lbs of them to make this weekend so stay tune for release day. I appreciate you all for your patience ✌️❤️!

Who loves em' chicken? Have you tried and opened a bag of Chicken Strips yet?! The blueberries 🫐🫐 in it makes it smell oh so good!!! Plus, we only use human grade chicken breast and thighs -NOT rendered meat, ground, mixed and pumped into delicious strips by us!

For those that are new here, let us introduce ourselves and tell you what we are all about!

We are a local treat company based in Edmonton, AB. We specialized in meat based treats that are sourced locally or as close to home as possible. We hand make ALL of our treats in house.

The inspiration behind this are our own dogs Morris and Wesley. Morris is a sharpei and Wesley a Cane Corso. Morris, as it comes with his breed, is highly sensitive (with everything) and "problem ridden" dog. Skin allergies, yeast flare up, ear infections were the top issues. The first 3 mos of his life with us was spent at vet clinics weekly with different rounds of antibiotics that never worked. I learned after that most of his symptoms can be manageable with the right diet approach. So he was put on raw diet and I made all of his treats so I can control what goes in it. We realized that we are not the only pet parents that goes through similar situation so then Hungry Mutts was born!

Our goal is to provide treats that pet parents can trust. We use fresh and high quality cuts of meat. We carefully handcrafted each treats with only 1 ingredient or very limited ingredients that can be found in your own pantry. We also make treats in small batches to ensure freshness. We believe in quality over quantity!

Bison Bullys saved the weekend! I am out of commission since Friday. I twisted my left ankle so no walks or backyard chase for these 2. I can tell they are feeling a bit cooped up, tho. Thank god for some chew time they are able to relieve some boredom 😆😆.

Whole herring is available for pre order! I got a couple more cases and I hope this will last us until closer to harvest next spring 🐟🐟! For those that are iffy with the eyeballs, you can let me know if you the head removed and I will gladly do that for you 😆. Just send me a dm after ordering and all eyes are off LOL!

Cow and Rabbit Hides are available tonight at 6PM! I have limited amount made for this soft launch. Im in a pre testing stage as to what size and weight options I will be offering more in the future. I also have some very limited amount of rabbit ears and feet available. Beef Bullys are also being restocked 🤘🤘.

So what are hides?

These are not the same as the rawhide (leather industry byproduct). We do not use chemicals such as lye to remove fat and hair or ammonium compound to clean the hide. Instead the hides are picked up fresh off the table from the abbatoir, washed and scrubbed with soap and water mix (multiple times), then treated with vinegar solution then prepped, fleshed and rolled before going to the dehydrator for several days. This process is as natural as u can get. It is ALOT of work but all worth it 👌👌. You' ll notice that these doesn't turn into a gooey mess that risk the chances of your dog biting a piece off and choking on them (altho you always, always supervise your dog when having chews), instead the roll retains it's structure keeping the outer layer of the skin that makes it more durable and long lasting. Rabbit hides(pelt) on the other hand are meant for light to medium chewers. They do not have the same "toughness" as the cow hides. They are still a fun chew and a good alternative for those pups that are allergic to beef.

Did you get your yet? Don't skimp out on safety! This thing also slowed Wesley down a bit, since it gave him some time to play with his stick instead of just savagely going at it 😄!

You can also stuff them with peanut butter or yogurt then freeze for some more fun time enrichment.

Looking for a meal topper or a larger treat thats packed in good omegas?? Are your dogs fussy about texture? Look no more!

These dried herring are made with those picky doggos in mind. My boys are raw fed and fish is a huge part of their diet - coz u know, luscious skin and coat 😁😉. Altho they love their raw meat, they refuse to eat raw fish. I think it has to do with the texture 🤷🏾‍♀️. So being able to give them these gently air-dried herring is a win!

For those four-legged savages that tries to gulp down their bullys sticks or any other chew sticks, this one is for you!

We are now carrying to help chews in place and prevent choking incidents. Bully stick holders are not all made the same, Bully Grip design is very intuitive and you just need to twist the bully stick into the thickest part and it will hold the stick in place allowing for safe and fun chewing. There are multiple sizes available and some learning curve involve to make sure to get the right sized holder for the thickness of bully stick you are using - I'll give more info on this later!

They are expected to come in Monday, July 25th but will be available for pre order on Saturday, July 23 in conjunction of our bully sticks restock day🙌🙌!
