Dani and I had an incredibly successful outing this past weekend, competing at our first Working Equitation show. She got high point dressage then 5th overall, after a few troublesome obstacles. We had an absolutely fantastic time and she was just perfect. Huge thanks to WestCoast Working Equitation for putting on such an amazing event and to all those who cheered us on.

Celebrating another birthday here at the farm, this time Heritage Merit Daenerys - Dani for short. Today she turns 8! Dani was our first home bred horse and she's been an absolute delight since those first wobbly steps.

Heritage Merit Daenerys is 7 this year, but after a minor surgical procedure at 4, then a foal at 5 she's much more like a 4 year old in terms of her training yet she rocked it this weekend at her first show of the season. Steady, willing, and rock solid, even with a few rider wobbles. An amazing partner! Love my girl.

We are so bad at updating this page. Missed Miss Lucy's birthday. She was 22 on May 6th and has been with us since before her 1st birthday! She's still herd matriarch and ever so feisty.

Been an incredible year here at the farm. Heritage Merit Daenerys is coming into her own and the Big Guy - Evergreen Gyco Montanna - just keeps getting better and better. So grateful for all those that help, support, and cheer us on. Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year 🥰🎉

On May 28, 2022 we celebrated Indira's 1st birthday. Alex came by with a big "1" balloon and her camera, catching some adorable moments.

It was announced on IG so I think (hope) okay to say we are proud horsey "grandparents." Heritage Fonzie Echo, owned by Ryan and Trevor at Hay Wire Farms, welcomed a c**t the other day. He's beyond perfect. Huge congrats to the new family.

It has been one month since Walter came to live with us and he's settled in nicely. Loving his warm mashes, dry stall, and visitors that come with love and kindness. We've learned he has some vision challenges, in addition to no hearing and few teeth left. But he's happy and in good shape. We absolutely love him ❤️❤️

Having helped launch the Canadian Horse Rescue and Re-Homing Society we are so aware of the critical importance of volunteers and foster homes so, when asked if we had room, we couldn't say no. Meet Walter, a now "honorary" Canadian. Thanks to SAINTS rescue for entrusting us with this lovely old guy.

Another turnout resurfaced! This one (which flooded last fall) required the backhoe to dig a huge hole, filling it with drain rock, before top dress. Here's hoping this, and out other drainage efforts, will protect the barn in future.

Family Day long weekend = farm chores. Spent much of today resurfacing 1 of 6 turnouts. Will be a big job to get them all done.

We had the pleasure of hosting a Working Equitation Clinic with Darcy this past weekend. With 4 horses and a group of spectators plus a quick visit by Indira the session was an amazing success. Huge thanks to Darcy, our riders Brandy Alex Cara, and Joleen for these photos. Can't wait for the next one!

We are thrilled to announce the birth of another Heritage Canadians foal, a lovely filly born this morning at the incredible time of 9am. Absolutely zero sign of the foal at 6am when we fed breakfast. We could have missed it!

Heritage Merit Daenerys had good bath today as we await the arrival of her foal. Day 334 today. This mare has the kindest, gentlest soul. We expect she will be a fantastic mum!
