Found myself experimenting with our Nasturtium, sorrel, and violas to see what’s possible. Do you ever consider the same thing when creating a dish?

Today, after planting all our trays for the week we’ve been working on sourcing some new seeds. Luckily we’ve found some partners who can bring some varieties over from the Netherlands. They handle all the import and customs details which is awesome because that can be a lengthy process. Can’t wait to show you what we ordered but I want to keep it a surprise. It won’t arrive until June so stayed tuned!

We’re running into the dilemma of having too many seedlings and needing to find a spot for them! 😅 It’s so hard to say no to more seeds. Flowers have such interesting character and design, we couldn’t resist we had to plant them all!

Ever wonder how to use Fava microgreens? We’ve been putting them in our chicken soup lately for a bit of freshness. Also highly recommend making your own bone broth for the base instead of using a boullion cube or pre-made one from the store. You’re going to get so much more nutrients and minerals that’s going to help your body. A lot of those pre-made broths in a tetra packs come with a lot of extra chemicals and preservatives that aren’t going to do anything for you. So make sure you read the labels if you need to use one! When we don’t have a lot of time, we make our bone broth in the instant pot instead of simmering on the stovetop . Plus it just tastes so much better.

Didn’t think that would mean having conversations with people from the Netherlands, China and US all in one week. So interesting. To us, the weirder the plant, the better.

We found it’s easier on our digestion since we use fresh locally milled organic flour and because of the fermentation process of the sourdough.
