I really never know what to expect for a pup's first groom and normally I would start small but with this girl living farther away we don't always get that option. This girl NAILED it though, she did a great job for the first time! 🙌👏 Juno 🥰

So proud of this guy!! Winston came in a little bit ago and he has made some big strides with the dryer! 🙌🙌 I am always so proud of the pups that are able to face their fears and gain some confidence, it reminds me of why I love what I do so much 🥰🥰

Oh Wolfie.... After finding out that this guy was a tad bit spicier than what I was expecting (if he had really wanted to hurt me he certainly could have when he caught me completely off guard by lunging at my face after I placed him in the tub), I knew I needed a different approach than I would take with most pups.

I soon realized that even positive energy if it was too high could quickly redirect into an attempt to nip which I certainly didn't want to turn into a bite. I kept my energy low and even with praise I had to keep it at almost a whisper so that this guy would stay calm and we found a way to work together. I even had to use a muzzle at one point which I don't normally need but it was very clear that he knew EXACTLY what it was 😅

I'm very proud of how far along came just over the course of the groom and how we developed an understanding. This is one of the many reasons I love what I do and that I don't have to have a "one size fits all model" because in most cases that just doesn't work.

Christmas the golden, I love this gal 🥰🥰 when I was trimming her I looked up to see that she was closing her eyes and almost nodding off 😂 silly girl

She also decided to get into a neighbor's chicken coop recently and have a good rolling around 🙃 the stinkier the better I suppose

A lot of groomers won't take Chows because they can be pretty mean, and Puff here has had her moments with other groomer's apparently but I've never so much as seen a lifted lip from this gal so I'll take it. She is so sweet and I love her ❤️❤️

Another new friend for me! Gabe 🥰 this poor guy had a bad experience and so he wasn't too sure what to expect today. A little patience went a long way with this guy and he went from showing teeth and trying to bite to giving nice kisses and letting me handle his legs. I'm so proud of this guy for being so brave!
