My Story
About Me: my name is Courtney Harley. I went to school and graduated with a Biomedical Engineering Technician Diploma. I have been working in the biomedical engineering field for the last four years. Although I work hard, every job I obtained something was always missing from it. In August 2019 my mom bought me Jayda; a rescue dog from the Cambridge Humane society. Man, did my life change! I always say I didn't rescue her, she rescued me.
Redemption Paws: Jayda was an inspiration for me and I wanted to do more. I became affiliated with the rescue association Redemption Paws based out of Toronto. They are a non for profit organization that drives down to Texas and saves dogs by bringing them to Canada to be adopted. I have fostered four dogs so far and will continue to share my love for them. Each foster comes with their own personality and difficulty. I have learned a lot from each one on specific breed personality traits, aggression personalities, high anxiety; I have seen it all. Fostering has been great, so great that I knew I had to drop everything and devote my life to helping dogs be the happiest they can be!
The Farm: I moved out to the farm over a year ago. I have 150 acres of land, 2Kl from any main road, making it a perfect spot for dogs to be free. The farm is not a permanent location for my daycare as I know the convenience of it is not great. Until a new location is built, the farm is where the dogs will play!
