Dream Team has decided to try and start making video posts to show you more of what we do and how it happens. Members / Followers have expressed interest and curiosity over the years so we are going to let you in on procedures we follow, methods we use, equipment we use (all purchased using your generous donations), important tips for you all and much more. Some will be educational videos and others will be Dream Team Response Officers and other volunteers in action on video. Maybe we'll video the next time our Drone Pilot Bill puts up our thermal drone and let you see what we see from the $10,000 8K camera or the $12,000 thermal cam that hang below our $36,000 drone. Or maybe we'll share the bodycam video of our new scent tracking dog Gori and her handler / Response Officer Trish as they track a missing dog. We could post an educational video (like the one I'm going to post below) or a video of us at Dream Team discussing important info we feel should be passed on to you all. This will help you stay more engaged and involved with us at Dream Team and educate you on things along the way as well as let you meet some of the other faces behind Dream Team (so you're not always looking at my old mug lol). We may even go live on our page during certain things you just never know. Like I said we will try our best to keep this up but there are many times things get very busy for us and we all wear many hats to accomplish what we do so bear with us.
Also keep watching in the near future for upcoming Fundraising events. These would be something we may go live from. You can also make donations to [email protected] at anytime.
Today's video is an educational video. A few in Rescue have asked us about our food bag trap. The one we trapped Vaga in. How did we make it. How does it work. Several have asked over the years as this trap has been very successful for us and trapped many dogs. Electronic traps can fail in cold and bad weather or the electronics themself can fail. We know we have several of them which is the reason we like our food bag traps so much. Its simple and works in any weather or conditions. So we made a video of how to convert a 4'x6' dog pen into a food bag trap and added tips through the video. (Please remember the trapping of animals [domestic or wildlife] should only be done by licensed professionals).
We have also talked about creating seminars. One for the general public of what to do if you see a dog running down the street or more importantly what not to do. Also one geared towards Rescue people. A more indepth seminar to help when your foster dogs go missing and how to keep them safer. We could also put together a Course on how to properly do what we do. Would these be something you all would be interested in?
We hope you enjoy today's video and the start to many more to come.
