If you expect to continue to be welcome on the property CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR HORSE.
The amount of manure I find left in the stalls, the holding pens, the arena, and in the middle of the driveway on a daily basis is unacceptable. End of story. Do better.
Notice to boarders:
There is a lesson booked for Sunday, June 23 at 7:30pm. The arena is still available for riding, but right of way must be given to the lesson.

Make sure your horse's mouth is in top condition going into winter. Limited spaces available - message me to reserve your horse's spot early! Priority will be given to boarders. Haul-in spaces will be offered if available.

A reminder to boarders:
Parking is along the East side of the barn. There is easily enough room for 5+ vehicles there when parked sensibly. DO NOT park blocking any trailers that do not belong to you, ESPECIALLY when riding off property.

I've got the most high traffic areas by the gates and behind the barn covered with a layer of sand to help with traction. It has made a huge difference, but please be cautious still.
As much fun as I had unloading and spreading 1500lb of sand by hand, I think next year I'll have someone deliver a load that I can spread with the tractor. 😅

⚠️⚠️ The recent melt along with yesterday's freezing rain has made the yard an absolute skating rink. While the roads seem to be relatively drivable, I recommend not coming out today unless it is absolutely necessary. The driveway and gate areas are dangerously slippery. Horses supplements were taken to them in their pastures to avoid any slips or falls. Please rest assured that your horses are being well tended to and consider taking the day off from any barn related activities. Use extreme caution if you must come out. ⚠️⚠️

If any boarders are interested in dental work with Leo Tournier please let me know. We are currently in the process of lining something up for Spring 2024. No dates confirmed as of yet, but I would like to have a rough idea of numbers ASAP.
Depending on the number of spots available, we may open times for haul-ins as well. If you are interested in dental work with Leo but not a current boarder, please feel free to reach out and I will keep in touch when we know more.

A quick note to remind all boarders that once you have taken your horse outside of their pen it is your responsibility to clean up after them. This applies to not only the barn and arena, but also around the hitching posts and the driveway. Please do your part to help keep things clean and tidy around the yard.
More information about Spring Herd Health 2023 has been posted at the main barn entrance along with a sign up sheet. Please sign your horse(s) up ASAP, or let me know if you plan to make other arrangements.

It's that time of the year again! Spring Herd Health is booked for Thursday, April 27th. Keep an eye out in the barn for a sign up sheet.
Dale is out here putting in work, running for employee of the month. From feeding hay, to driving the tractor, to making sure the playlist is 🔥. He does it all.
It's hard to find good help these days, but these two are killin' it! 💯

After a couple of weeks with wind chill temperatures of -40 to -50°C, today's -34°C is feeling pretty great. Snickers is looking forward to some much more reasonable weather in the forecast. ☀️ 🐴

To celebrate the end of the year, I've selected 21 of my favorite photos taken in 2021. There were so many incredible moments, it was nearly impossible to decide.
Throughout the course of the year we accomplished so much, and I'm so proud of how far we have come.

We also welcomed many new beautiful faces to our barn family - horse & human. Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement! 💕
In 2022 we have more improvements planned in order to grow and continue to take the best possible care of your 4 legged best friends. We hope to get our website back up and running soon, and will also try to be better about posting more updates here on our page.
Listen to the birds chirp as the horses made their way up out of the pasture this morning. We are LOVING the nice weather out here!
